They are all Overland or Summits.

Thoughts?
My Overland went to 'I' status (awaiting final inspection) on Feb. 7... It is still in 'I' status. I wish I knew what was up!

Thank you again for your email regarding the 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee.

Please accept our sincere apologies for the delayed response to your
email. Because of the public's current interest in Chrysler Group and
our new products, we are unable to respond as promptly as we would like.

When you place a new factory order for any new Chrysler Group LLC
vehicle, the typical delivery is approximately 10-12 weeks. Please be
advised that this timing should be taken as an approximation only. Based
upon vehicle demand and parts availability, this delivery time can be
extended to accommodate these circumstances. In regards to the 2011 Jeep
Grand Cherokee Overland 4x4 models, the demand for this trim level is
very high due to such features as the Quadra-Lift Air Suspension and the
Nappa Leather Saddle Brown Interior.
I don't mind waiting if I am given a realistic timeline, but my dealer told me 30-45 days which is completely unrealistic... Today is day 31 and still showing D status.

Re: Manufacturing Delay?

I know this is an older thread, but I'm suffering here! I ordered my mineral gray overland 4x4 hemi on 3/14 and it's been stuck in "I" since 3/30/11. Dealer can't get any information. Should I be worried, or wait out 10-12 weeks. Thanks for the advice!

There were at least two mineral gray overlands ordered the beginning of April that were built the end of April and are just reaching the dealer lot. These are black interiors, what is yours?

When they get stuck, it is often because of back ups loading rail cars. They are looking for a place to store the Jeep until they can load it on a train, and sometimes the Jeep just disappears for awhile before turning up when its scheduled to be shipped. Less often the Jeep is delayed because of a missing part.

I hear there have also been recent issues with the tracking system. So yeah, there are plenty of things to worry about, but 99% of the time its just normal business. I've seen two Jeeps rolling off the line right after each other, one gets right on a train, the other goes into storage for a week. About all you can say is that it is unpredictable.... and if you check over in other chrysler forums, like the challenger ones, you see about the same story all over.
