Can we expect our orders to hit D1 this week?

Me neither. Starting to look at other vehicles as well. Really want the Jeep but this Friday will be 12 weeks since I ordered. Originally wanted the Land Rover LR4 and thinking about going back to it. It's getting ridiculous.

@pooch1005, wow since December 10? That makes no sense especially since you must be willing to take the 430. Others that ordered after you (with new 730) are in D1. Jeep is really f@!% up with how they are moving orders.

Yeah I've about had it. No one seems to be able to provide an explanation or make any sense of it. I told my dealer that if I didn't make D1 by this Friday I will be cancelling my order. It amazes me that I could have ordered a vehicle from England and received it sooner than one from Detroit!

I can relate, it looks like I submitted my order exactly 1 month after you. I do not need my jeep right now because I am overseas but I will be returning at the beginning of April. So I don't really need it until then, but I am starting to worry that if it doesn't go D1 soon then it will not be ready in time.

I cancelled my order. I will maybe reconsider the grand cherokee again in 2012 or by then I will have probably found something else that interests me. Ofcourse cancelling my order and watching gas prices shoot up made the process less painful as well lol. Even though I cancelled my order I still kind of watch the tracking of it every now and then and it hasnt change in almost 2 months.

James-

So you did go ahead and cancel. Having read your earlier thread, and being in the business of financial planning, I understand your logic. It looks like you've added another major decision into the fray with a possible move to Florida. Wow!
It was your discussions on the 730 RHR and the Saddle interior that got me to make those changes to my order, and I think they're both going to really add to my enjoyment of the Jeep. Anyway, best of luck, and I hope you'll continue to keep tabs on this forum. Ron

Placed my order on Feb 18, order went to Chrysler on Feb 19, and got a VIN from the hotline last Thursday (Feb 24). My salesperson emailed me today to tell me I had a VIN, and that it "should go into production this week." I'm anxiously awaiting the next tracking update from Milous, but I don't have my hopes up that it will be built this week.

....doubt that it will go into production this week....but hey there is hope! I just wish there was clear info on production so we would all know exactly what to expect....the lack of transparency is frustrating. VON to VIN looks to be a quick process....then the long wait in D (and D0.5 LOL). I've been in D1 since 2/23 and expect, based on more recent observances, that it should get built very soon....maybe, maybe not....who knows! :sleepy:
