Well, you're simply wrong.

it's just an ugly, useless road barge that cannot carry luggage or even 5 people. It's for people who can't make up their mind what they want and are slaves to fashion. A fashion that very quickly looks ridiculous.

Only a fool would buy one over an X5M.

Re: Maserati Concept SUV

LOL. There was a video/tv review of the BMW X6 and they crucified it. Horribly bumpy ride unless you're on a glass perfectly smooth road. They have a picture of it spinning it's tires in one place trying to get up a wet grassy hill while real SUVs drive right by it.

Re: Maserati Concept SUV

Very good bits wasted on a horrible design. Car guys will see it, people with common sense will see it, BMW fan boys may not see it. The car/thing doesn't have a purpose, but it has a crazy high price tag. It is a conflicted design and apparently emblematic of what is going on at BMW, and the Euro auto industry at large. For once in a great while, Americans are finally getting it and quality across all brands is vastly improved over even 3 years ago. The Japanese are what they have been...pretty consistent save for some bad luck of late. The Japanese don't own this category though, they know "cute" (Scion, Cube) and "boy-racer" (STi, Evo) and do that very important demographic very well. They're on hard times but they're still building brand equity amongst the car buyers of tomorrow. For that matter, they have the top selling family cars (Camry, Accord), and are inching closer every year int he truck category with the Tundra. This is America's time to get it right. Hopefully thought leadership has found it's way back to Detroit (or at least Ontario).
