I inspect used cars for paint condition and excessive wear condition for off leases, auto auctions etc.., during my day job.
Whites are the easiest to hide damage...scratches, dings etc..and the easiest to keep clean
Or at least look clean.
Dark colors show the slightest road grime and damage regardless how minor the damage is.
Just my 2 cents.
