Re: MaxCare rental care fees

You can purchase the Mopar MaxCare contract at any time and from any authorized dealer. The price does increase slightly at 12K/12mos and I think you have to buy before 48 mos, but I could be wrong about that. The time/mileage for the contract dates back to the original purchase in-service date, regardless of when you buy. One advantage to buying sooner is that the rental/loaner provision works for OEM Warranty claims, too, while you're still in your 3/36 warranty period.

But the bottom line is that if your dealer isn't going to, um...deal...on the price, you have time to shop around. Many of us have purchased our MaxCare Extended Service Contracts from online sources based on price. My sincere recommendation is that if you are considering purchasing the contract for a new vehicle, get pricing from the online folks to use during your negotiation/closing process. If your dealer matches or comes "close enough", then just buy it. If not, buy it after the fact.

That's good to hear - I've got a '16 Ram 1500 Laramie on order right now! Keeping my GC; just had to have a pickup. Love the Hemi/8 speed combination, and the 3.92 gears I ordered in the Ram should make it fun around town.
