Metal vibration from right rear above 60mph

I have a metal vibration sound that comes from the right rear area of my jeep thats driving me crazy. It happens when I am between 60 and 75mph.
I have pulled off every interior panel on the rear passenger side and can not find this vibration. Ive checked the door, all back panels, the seats, the QL air tank, the spare tire and holder.....everything. No luck.
I was wondering if anyone else has or had this noise?
I know these are the hardest and most subjective problems to diagnose but I figured it was worth a shot.
I am going to the dealer but who knows if they will hear what I do.
The noise is all I hear now that I'm tuned into it and I cant take it much longer. I almost thinking about taking a loss and trading it in for a new one. Thats how bad it is for me. I hate driving this car right now.
Any help is very appreciated!!! Thanks!!!

Re: Metal vibration from right rear above 60mph

Presume you hear it from the interior given your troubleshoot list? A few others have spare tire shimmy as well but sounds like you covered that. Maybe jack and safety equipment?

May also want to check rear antennae post for tightness, and roof rail tightness and cross bar positions if you have them.

Keep chasing it down, dealer may help though put him or her in your passenger or rear seat while you drive to troubleshoot.

Although not likely the only other thing I can think of is to wiggle the exhaust to see if it's causing a noise.

Re: Metal vibration from right rear above 60mph

Im assuming its the interior, but maybe is the undercarriage radiating up into the interior. The problem is I can only make it happen at 60mph, so when Im stopped and looking at the parts for tightness, I cant re-create it. Or ill find something I think might be causing it, fix it, start driving again and its still there.

Have you checked the rear flipper window to make sure it's not loose on the hinge? That is apparently a problem that has happened to at least a few people on this forum.

Re: Metal vibration from right rear above 60mph

I went to the dealer and went on a road test with the service manager who heard nothing, then the shop foreman who heard nothing. They then brought a tech who is very good with noises, and thank God, he heard it.
He seems to think its coming from the QL air tank. Since the noise only happens when the vehicle is over 60mph. That is when it automatically drops to aerodynamic mode. He thinks maybe it has something to do with the air going in and out at a rapid pace as the system adjusts to the road. I dont know if I believe that, but at least someone there heard what I have been hearing.
I will know more next week when I drop it off to be fixed. Thanks for everyones help and suggestions!!
