MidWest Blizzard affecting delivery ?

Can all the snow and blizzard conditions in the mid west affect the train schedules and deliveries coming out of the factory? Just curious cus our GC is on a train, according to Milous' tracking, in Ill.
Living in Texas, we don't know about these things. :-)

Re: MidWest Blizzard affecting delivery ?

they should get the jeep off the train and use it to tow the rest of them through the snow...

Re: MidWest Blizzard affecting delivery ?

I'd be surprised if it affects train schedules all that much; IL and MO weren't hit all THAT hard. Yeah, it was ugly around here this morning (mainly due to people who should have stayed home weren't, but I finally got to use the "Snow" setting... worked GREAT).

If it's delayed at all, it might only be by a half day or so; nothing you'd really notice.

It was a dusting and, as usual, the media is over-reacting for the current 24hr news cycle. I could have literally used a broom to sweep off my walks.

Re: MidWest Blizzard affecting delivery ?

On the other hand, the blizzard HAS delayed the assembly lines (JNAP isn't mentioned, though)...

Good catch on that bpmcgee. The JIT manufacturing process can bite a company badly when mother nature unloads.

Re: MidWest Blizzard affecting delivery ?

apparently the weather didn't stop the trains - Jeep is off the rail car waiting to be picked up by our dealer - should have it Sat or Mon.
