Had the driver door panel off yesterday. There's actually 5 connectors from the mirror. I tested one by one their function and found that the very first plug of the top row did not disable any use beside tilting down in reverse so left it unplugged. Now only my right mirror goes down when in reverse which is exactly what I was looking for. Let's hope that the plug isn't also somehow responsible for the heating element. We'll find out once we get some snow
