Re: Moab 2013 Jeeping Pictures

We are planning a long, first trip for 2015, coming from the east coast, just have not decided on the time of year. Will be coming in thru SW Colorado and making a loop trying to hit as many NP's as we can, then spending some time around the Moab area.

Re: Moab 2013 Jeeping Pictures

We did a similar trip last year in the Fall, RI to the Badlands, the Black Hills and on to Yellowstone; just our luck, the Government shut down, so off to Oregon, down the coast then to Moab.We did spent 3 days there and did Gemini Bridges and the Long Trail. We headed home after that, 8000 mile road trip.

We just bought a 2014 Overland, took a week to get all the red clay off the underbody. It rained in Moab; if it’s dry then it wouldn’t be so bad.

Damn... are there no "dispersed" camping spots anywhere?

Edit: Any other potential options that anyone knows about? Camping near Negro Bill canyon? Or maybe right at the CO border and then drive into Moab the next morning?

Once you are in town, you could ask about camping options at the Moab Information Center. Also, here is a link to camping possibilities: Moab Campgrounds
