Skis and snowboards shouldn't be any real problem, though you may have to have them closer for the snowboard depending on its size. I miss skiing; I gave it up after adding six new bones to my right ankle in the Alps.

ok so after finishing the install i drive around and once i hit about 40 mph i hear whistling and i notice the rubber strip is slighted bent upwards so now im guessing wind is getting in and making that noise and ideas on how to bend it downward and prevent from peeling upwards

Got a picture. The rubber strip on my crossbars was actually a little to long (i.e. from side to side) so I trimmed them with a sharp knife to make sure they fully settled into the groves. Had my GC at highway speeds numerous times with no issues.
