im not one to stress to much with the water crossings, but did you have someone check the depths infront of you or did you just wing it? also very game if had the k&N installed its pretty open unless you had the sock on for extra protection. the oem intake would be alot safer.

Great pictures, great scenery, great vehicle! It looks like you had a very good time. It's nice to see someone here enjoying their Jeep for a change instead of b***hing about it.

Unbelievable. I didn't think the jeep could with stand those conditions without skipping a heartbeat along the way. .. Did you need recovery at any point?

I'm gonna say, their 20" wheels

Yes, someone went in front checking the depth...some places were extremely deep so we had to be carefull, I know what you mean by the K&N installed, I had my doubts because its more open....so I took my chances, my idea was that if it was too deep I would have somebody tow me with my engine off in order not to get any water in...but it never got to that...it was all great fun and I know my Grand Cherokee is not a submarine !...

I couldnt agree more !...kind of tired of reading people talking only about their problems...I know its good to share them in order to get answers/solutions, but how about sharing the good stories !..

Yes, I'm running my 20" stock wheels, I was told I could go to smaller wheels in order to get different tires...but the whole idea was to use my Jeep as standard as possible, like I said before..after a big wash upon return the Jeep looks as nice as original with no exterior mods.

Only one time in the sand I couldnt get up the dune in the first try...so I had to go down all the way in order to be able to get some more speed...and at the 3rd. try we were able to climb...so basically answering your question...didnt need recovery at any time.

Have a great day.

ha,ha...many thanks !....only thing missing now is your pics, it doesnt matter how big the dune or deep the water..the important thing is to have fun..and I believe if you buy a Jeep its not only to drive on a street/highway...its also because what it can do outisde the road..thats where the real fun is, at least thats how I see it.

The truth is that I dont know the answer !..ha,ha...only thing I can tell you is that I didnt have a problem, I was in my stock 20" wheels/tires.
Didnt get a single drop of water inside the cabin...I guess I can say it was basically smooth saliling !!..

Your profile says 3.6L, but you have the dual exhaust which i thought were for the diesel?
