Thanks for the great action pics, its good to see the GC doing Jeep stuff, I haven't been off - road to much and never in the water... maybe some pretty watery mud holes (which was really fun) cause she never hesitated just plowed right through it, got really muddy I wanted to get some pics but by the time I got home through a torrential downpour most of the mud washed off and it just looked wet and dirty not picture worthy.

Re: More pics....First Off Road experience in the sand..

Wading depth is supposedly 20 inches/508mm, but I've seen a few pics/vids of GCs now going near the top of the tyres, so about 30 inches. The cabin has additional waterproofing to the 20 inch mark, so that is a safe level, you are taking a chance by exceeding this, but if you keep moving and avoid water coming up over the headlights and into the intake then seems you are ok. I have seen one owner fit a fording bra and have water come up over the hood on a river crossing, the main thing is to keep it out of the engine bay and cabin, so keep moving and it should stay out. If you park it in more than 20 inches for too long it will get into something that doesn't like water, lots of electronics in these things.

Kudos to Victor, no point owning a Jeep if you don't use it.

Good photos! Did you air down the tires at all? The sand looked pretty firm, not like what we have on the eastern USA. With the 20's I have only aired down to 30psi since there is not much sidewall on the tire.
On a side note, if you havent done so already, make sure the axle vent tubes are routed up as high as possible to prevent water infiltration.
Jeep on!

Yes, before going to the sand I took off air, I had them at 20 PSI and didnt have any problems, sand was firm in some places and soft in others, only once I got stuck as I didnt pick up enough speed to climb..so I had to go on reverse, backup all the way down and then I was able to pick up speed and get over the lip...hard to describe the place..it was like a big bowl, there wasnt a real risk involved as there were 10 other trucks in my party, meaning that If I wasnt able to go out on my own rescue was right there..but fortunately I was able to do it without having to ask for help.

Sure, and some bigger diameter tyres will help too.
