Re: MPG V8 - 2nd update
Robert, I just returned from a nearly 2200 mile round trip to central Florida and kept records so I could see what my actual mileage was for the run. Including the "side trip diversions" in Florida while moving my parents from their single home of decades to an assisted living community as well as a customer appointment on the way north in the Hampton VA area, I managed a solid 20.22 mpg for the entire trip with a "tank" high of 21.76 mpg. I was careful to try and fill up as best as possible during fuel stops, but variation is less of a factor over that many fill-ups. The EVIC was as high as 22 mpg, but overall stayed relatively close to the actual. I did notice that the EVIC was much quicker to respond in the downward direction when idling or dealing with local stop-and-go situations than it was to climb back up for some reason.
