If you cannot get satisfaction do a buy back with Chrysler but don't waste too much time waiting.
I am having nothing but issues upon issues on mine.
I did dispay the voltage for a few days after they replaced the battery and it stayed at 14. The problem is after turning the engine off the side lights on the dash and the gear shifter lights will turn off and then come back alive on their own. The dealer witnessed this for themselves. So now they are looking for what would cause that.
How do I go about doing a buyback with Chrysler? Are you in the process of doing this?

Mine is in the same dash lights wake up on their own boat, If you think this post is bad, go to 2014 GC OWNER'S Review This is where people are having alot of the same issues and more. Then there is also:
2014 Grand Cherokee Summit issues!
This stuff is driving us to question if we made good choices.

Re: My 2014 Overland review- not good so far!

Ok so I just called customer care and started the process for a buyback or replacement vehicle. They told me that it falls under my states lemon laws (NY). So as of right now I don't qualify because I need to bring it to dealer for 4 attempts to fix problem or they keep the car for 30 days consecutively.
I am on my 3rd visit. I called the dealer today to get a status update and after 2 days of having the truck apart, they still can't find the problem. I am going to push for a replacement. Most likely go back to a 2013 with less electronics.

And for anyone that is at their boiling point here is the number to start the process: 877-426-5337

Google your state's lemon law to know what you need in order to qualify.

I really feel for those having issues. I would be so disappointed, frustrated and mad. But I just wanted to put out there that Chrysler IS putting out a great product. So I hope people don't get put off by the issues being posted. Unfortunately, its usually those that are having problems and are unhappy that post.
You're most likely in the majority with no problems. If members started making threads on how they love their 14's and how they aren't having problems, then there would a huge amount more of threads with positive information that negative. I can't see jeep continuing to sell 10k + a month of these vehicles with a high problem rate if the problems we're experiencing are as widespread.

One thing I found interesting in the thread for folks with no problems, was how many people love their Jeeps, "even though ... " It seems like many Jeep owners have low expectations and are happy to only have minor problems.

Having only owned one other Jeep that was perfect from day one until I traded it, my expectation was high. I haven't had a major problem, but the little ones that seem to pop up, and sometimes disappear on their own, are disturbing. I just don't know if the next glitch is going to leave me stuck somewhere.

I still like my Jeep and if the gremlins are driven out soon it will be a keeper. That's what I'm hoping and the dealer I switched to for service has me feeling a little more optimistic.

I still love mine. I just wish I could drive it before everyone else buys one and mine will still be in the shop.

Re: My 2014 Overland review- not good so far!

UPDATE: Service Dept says that Chrysler is sending them a new radio unit. Which I thought was the problem in the first place for the uConnect apps problem. Is it possible that the radio is tied in with the lights on the center dash? I feel like it's 2 different problems.

Unhappy Re: My 2014 Overland review- not good so far!

Sounds like a new radio is a good start. I always felt that the Uconnect 8.4 was at the center of all our issues. This radio just shouldn't of been released until the bugs in it were worked out. I myself heard today that the chief STAR engineer from Dallas is coming personally to look at mine tomorrow (Wends.) The service manager really felt that this guy is going to be able to fix all my Jeep's troubles. I will keep praying that it is the case. Mine has been in the shop for 17 days now. I almost have forgot what my Jeep looks like. it all seems like a bad dream.

Seriously, 10-15 meters? I live in a fairly big house....but a WHOLE LOT of it is within that distance from the garage. Maybe the guy down the street will will let me keep my keys at his house? Anyone know where I can get a lead box ;-)
