My impression of the Hemi now vs my old ('05) Hemi

WOW! Chrysler has come a long way with this motor. My '05 Magnum R/T had some basic goodies. AEM intake, Borla 112 Cat back, 180 thermostat, and Super Chips. With the data logging feature on the SC I recorded more than one flat ground, 50 degree, 0-60 run of 5.6 seconds (not unusual with this setup).
I loved the power but hated the idle. The Super Chips helped a lot with the idle but it still always felt like it had a mis or something.
Now, this bad boy is so smooth I can hardly tell it is running. I love that! I know it won't be as fast as my Magnum but, I bought it knowing that. I sure will put much of the same stuff on it, when the time, money and products are available.
I thought with all the goofy stuff happening with me and this Jeep, it would be a good idea to share something that is very positive.
Have a great Friday!

I'm the only one that has had 2 relatively recent Hemi's and noticed a difference?

I also had a 2005 Mag R/T. My 2011 Hemi is way more smooth and quiet.

It's good to hear this. My 300C idle annoys the hell out of me and it was honestly swaying me away from getting an overland. Glad to see it has been addressed.

Re: My impression of the Hemi now vs my old ('05) Hemi

I had a 2005 WK limited with a hemi. It had different gears and was stronger off the line. but my 2011 WK2 is much smoother and gets way better gas mileage as well.
I liked my 2005 a lot but i really love my 2011!!!!

No if only the major tuners out there could crack the code like my 05...

I went from a 2nd Gen vvt Hemi in my '09 Aspen (376hp/401ft-lbs) to the Pentastar in my WK2. Yes -- I noticed a huge difference
