Is this specifically for the JGC?

SPUTID CD changer in there takes 90% of the real estate...

Have a link for it? Didn't see it on their website.

even 'make my day' doesnt allow murder to stop someone from stealing your property in most if not all states. your life needs to be threatened to get away with it.

When considering getting a conceal & carry permit, here, applicants are advised to consider being sued by families of the deceased, regardless of the circumstances of the shooting.

I recall the family of the deceased young thief seemed more concerned he was shot so many times than the fact he was killed. I wondered if the young thief was from somewhere like California where thieves barely get a slap on the wrist for stealing.

BTW, don't recall mention of any damage to property from stray bullets fired at that young thief.

The vehicle has been dropped off to safelite and I will be picking it up in a couple days. I feel so violated knowing someone was digging around the inside of my baby.
That sucks man. Sorry to hear it. I had my previous vehicle broken into several times over the years trying to pull my aftermarket stereo. They had a zero percent success rate (that sucker was bolted in) but made a mess of my interior every time. Sounds like you had minimal damage which is the only bright side. Definitely a violating experience. Does your community garage have any cameras you can get the tape from?

Jeep Grand Cherokee: 2011 - 2016

They make them for a variety of vehicles but they're custom-sized for each one.

The garage only has cameras in certain areas. None that were facing the vehicle. So anyone could have broken the window and put the V1 in a backpack. Even if they were on camera it couldn't be proven.

Management and I are going to have a very very long talk. I'm not the first person this has happened to

Re: My jeeps been burglarized!

That sucks man, sorry to hear about this incident. I've been fortunate in that I've not yet been a victim but it does make me think. I live in a very low crime area and typically leave my RD in a case in the glove compartment, unlocked and leave nothing visible in the interior of the vehicle. The vehicle is always locked however. I should probably start brining in the RD rather than leave it inside the glove compartment or at least lock that up too.

The Console Vault looks to be a really well made product. Do you lose any interior room within the console itself? The other question about it that I've got is can you still route a cable out from within the console's USB ports? Currently with the stock console, I just route it out the side, which I very much like. Would the Console Vault prohibit that?

Sucks to see this happen to your or anyone's car. I'm thinking a vault is on the shortlist of things to buy.

My jeeps been burglarized!

Probably some bored teenagers running around at night, sorry to hear bro.

I had my windows smashed, DVD player and rims stolen on my '96 Maxima back in the day, right on my driveway. They left it on a donut and rock from our garden.

Theres a thread in the interior sub forum that has a few pictures that might help you. You do lose a little interior room because the CV is slanted so the lock can fit under the top tray of the console. Probably 0.50-0.75 of an inch from the top front. On the inside though, there are cutouts for the light, AC, and usb. I don't think you could run a wire out though because the top of the vault wouldn't shut which I think would bump the tray and keep the console from closing. If I remember tomorrow I'll give it a try and see what happens. At the very least, it would probably rattle annoyingly.

You had the vault, so why wasn't your detector in it?
You'll be smarter next time, right?

Guess Ill have to be! Im still determining if its worth filing a renters insurance claim (for some reason it falls into that category) or just eating the cost. At $500 it wasnt a cheap radar detector.

As for the Console Vault, you still have access to the cigarette lighter in the center console, however there is no way to run the cord out of the vault while it is closed. The only suggestion would be to drill a small hole in the top of the vault so you can feed the wire through. I just sacrificed that port for the sake of the vault.
