Re: My Summits Built....Pending Inspection FINALLY

Well kinda confusing... the dealer had it on order since December. Then I went into the dealer and bought the Jeep ($500 thing) on January 26th... :*( *tear*

Re: My Summits Built....Pending Inspection FINALLY

Perhaps it got held up for the new 730N RHR....if that is the case, then it should get built soon.

You could call the Jeep Info Center phone line and ask what media center is going in the vehicle....it can't be long now (I hope!).

Re: My Summits Built....Pending Inspection FINALLY

When I called the Jeep hotline on the 3rd of March the lady told me the 730N is going in it I made sure I asked that question before I got off the phone.

And she gave me a March 15th ship date??? :O

(:JgCoSgIrL, the dates given by hotline are when they expect it to leave the plant not local delivery.

Re: My Summits Built....Pending Inspection FINALLY

I know Thanks though! That would be fine by me, If it left the plant around March 15th, that would be PERFECT!

(Oh and got to Alaska in 30 days, then it would be perfect!)

Re: My Summits Built....Pending Inspection FINALLY

Here are some pics from my Summit taken this evening. Trying to show the wood grain on the olive wood. The RHR works wonderful. Sound quality on the bluetooth is great from both ends using a Droid2. Put shark fin on tonight, looks and works great.

These were taken in the sunlight at dusk so the leather appears orange just as it did in early Summit pictures. In reality it is far from orange and is truly beautiful IMO.

Thanks for your photos ! Keep em coming... Seeing them makes being in D status even more miserable. Kind of like the Groundhog Day of the truck buying experience.... (JK)

The woodgrain in your truck has much more definition than the Summits I've seen. It could be the light, but it's really noticeable, and looks great.

Where did they locate the RHR USB interface ? It's USB only ?

Thanks,

Steve

Awesome pics and congrats on your new ride. This thread reminds me of the thread we had going back in Oct-Dec where a bunch of us (cperez, Yukon, myself) were all waiting for our overlands!

ahh I remember it all too well, checking the tracking thread every 30 min, calling the Chrysler hotline daily for a status update, the un-returned phone calls from the dealer! Man that was so much fun, I am half tempted to sell mine and order a new one just go to through it all over again!!

BTW.. more pics please!

Shipping delays for some of the vehicles at the plant are due to rail car shortages.

Re: My Summits Built....Pending Inspection FINALLY

For quickest allocation and shipping probably best, in the future, to order from the highest volume dealer in your area especially when there are production delays or when a vehicle is in demand. Live and learn....
