Re: My WK2 just rolled over 20k miles...my thoughts

Yes, I just rolled over 28K miles on my 11 Overland 4x4. I have to say not bad at all. A few little things along the way, but nothing any different than what I've expereinced in any of the other luxury branded vehicles I've owned in the past.
But I like the Grand Cherokee best. I have several to choose from when ever I go out, and the WK2 is my favorite.

Re: My WK2 just rolled over 20k miles...my thoughts

I've had Jeeps all my life and I have to say this is far and away the best one ever. Just rolled over 27,000 miles and while I love the truck I'm very disappointed in the build quality. I have buzzes and rattles all over the place and it sounds like a 20 year old bucket of bolts. Don't know what the mileage is and don't care. If mileage was a consideration I sure wouldn't have bought a Hemi Jeep. I'm going to try a 2014 Overland and hope I have better luck with the build quality.

Re: My WK2 just rolled over 20k miles...my thoughts

I have over 50K on my 2010 Laredo & I drive quite a bit on logging roads and dirt roads and it's as solid as it was on day one. I also came from having Toyotas for a long time and I'm very impressed with the 2010. I can't wait to trade it in for a '14' diesel.

Re: My WK2 just rolled over 20k miles...my thoughts

Just hit 28k miles today. Two items were replaced under warranty, left-side mirror and stereo/info system (to address iPod sync problem). After 5 months, the iPod issue has resurfaced. Not sure if I'll have it addressed.

Problem areas. The amount of rattles seem to be increasing as the mileage builds up (glove box, center console, top dash and rear passenger area). Of course most hard difficult to replicate for a service tech to troubleshoot. Short-term answer, turn-up the music. Still don't like the feeling of being hit from the rear when the car is started. This doesn't happen a lot but seems to catch me off-guard when it does.

Overall not bad for a first model year build. Improvements...throttle response, front seat comfort, less body roll, updated trim on center console and touch sensors on rear doors and lift-gate. There are others but most will be addressed in the next MY. Also swapping for an SRT8 model would also address the performance concerns. This is a consideration. I need to see the changes and impact on price.

Good to hear you are all pleased with your WK2. It helps to get this encouraging info after a few miles have been put under the belt on your rigs.
Will look forward to further ifo from you guys as I wait impatiently for my diesel Laredo. Can't believe I have taken the plunge and ordered knowing I will be waiting some months before delivery

Have mine only 2000 km, first jeep. Loving it. Like you said. Bit heavy on juce , but the ride is worth it.
Just to bad they cant make a protection against people with trollies and paint work in parking lot. LOL. Got a bad scratch. Not to happy.

Re: My WK2 just rolled over 20k miles...my thoughts

Just past 22,333 on my 2012 Summit and the only problem I consistently have is with the RHR losing presets when an iPod is attached and the glovebox rattle. I fixed the glovebox rattle by putting some rubber strips over the latches.

I was surprised at my last gas fill-up when I saw 23.3 mpg on my Hemi. So, this Jeep has been as reliable as my old Jeep WJ that had 180,000.

Must be nice. I have just over 10,000 mile on my 2011. I've never gotten over 16 MPG and typically get about 14 MPG with my Hemi? I'm very light footed, try to maintain ECO, and very rarely let it drop into the passing gear causing higher RPMs. LUV the Hemi, but 16-18 MPG average would be a lot nicer on the wallet.

No trouble with it and haven't been back to the dealer.

I too average 16mpg which was why I was shocked to see 23mpg. I've been driving between 65 and 71mph depending on traffic. Where I live there are numerous hills which makes me glad that I have the v8.

There is no way you get 22 mpg in a v6 5000 lb vehicle...in the CITY lol. Unless you have it in neutral and have a F 150 pushing you.
