So if this is the case then I will schedule the recall for shifter, brake caliper recall, and a couple other issues that need fixin.

Just a few weeks ago I thought they were saying no fix until Q4 2016. I'd be shocked if they beat their estimate by this much

It's a serious issue and it sounds like they put the pedal to the metal with their developers to get it out, both for safety and to avoid continued financial angst from dealer inventories of MY15 vehicles. Better they say "later" and perform "sooner" than the other way around!

You should give a crap about the value if you are planning on replacing the lease after a year, you won't be happy with negative equity, unless of course you don't give a crap about loosing money.

When my lease is over I can just walk away no matter what the value is at that time. If I want to trade now, then I would take a huge hit.

Yes, exactly what I was saying. I only said it because you mentioned about replacing your HA soon.

Here's some info on the fix. Hate giving jalopnik the click, but they're pretty decent with this kind of news

Re: MY15 depreciation due to recall?

I think the most leery buyers at this time would be the well informed dealerships. If truly interested in selling I would try advertising it for sale in the local papers and try to find an unsuspecting private buyer.
