Confirmation? Absolutely not. Until the specifications are actually published, we can only go by what appears to be what the plan is based on comments from the insiders to-date. Milous's post in this thread (#`14) is what is known so far and for the moment, it seems like the system with CP/AA is in the cards.

Re: My18?

Milous, any other changes to the vehicle? (standard LED tail lights, new color choices either interior/exterior, new wheel choices, etc etc)

Thank you SO MUCH for that confirmation!

If not I would have ordered one last week.

So, looking at past experience, when one orders a new year GC in June when can we expect delivery?

Thanks again

Mark

Dear Fiat/Chrylser, bring back a real grill that is body color matched on 2019s. And stop shortening the height of the 7 slot grill, that's stupid looking.

Production launch is July 24th; depending on your distance from the plant, figure 4-6 weeks on average.

Here is a link to a preliminary page on the new 2018 radios:

I won't have color and wheel info until closer to launch. I wouldn't expect much in the way of cosmetic changes for the general lineup.

Shockwave will become famous soon enough
Would be nice if they bring back the HA for 2018. Maybe alternate every other year between the Altitude/HA.

A GC is definitely still on my list. But I am looking at everything now. Mainly Fpace & Stelvio are the only ones that grab my attention. The Audi Q5/SQ5 is nice as well but just looks to plane unless its in the highest trim levels which are 50-65k. The interiors are smoking on those though. May go look at a 2018 once they hit the lots just to see them in person.

Any possibility of being able to retro fit the 2018 radio in a 2017 once they are available?

My speculation would be "maybe" and it would likely be very expensive if possible and you could actually buy the unit. Physically, it should certainly fit since there are no changes in that respect to the vehicle. But remember, these units are more than just "radios" and are extensively tied to the vehicle systems and computer. There's no way to know at this point if there are any changes that might affect electrical compatibility with the older model year. "Probably not", but again, there's no way to know for sure at this point.

You do now have the option to retrofit third party systems on MY14+ JGC as the integration adapter industry has finally figured out the system, so that's also an option and may be less expensive than trying to obtain the new JGC unit...

The 2018 / 2019 may look something like this
