Navigating Saved Trails

Hi All, I have just had a great drive across the desert to the sea for the day. I was following a friend who knew the best way to get there and I recorded the trail on the navigation system (RHR).

I saved the trail at the end and named it.

Now when I try to select the trail for navigation it tells me it is not valid but I can still see the trail in there when I select edit trail, I just can't get it back on the map.

Does anyone have any idea how to overcome this? I have saved a trail along roads nearby and that seems to work fine when I select it again later - even if the start is miles away.
