nubby, MY14+ doesn't use any of those systems...completely different electrical system. He has an RA3 or RA4 (8.4A or 8.4AN) system.

Re: NAVTEQ and Jeep = Frustration

The Navtec problem isn't just with Chrysler. I purchased a Pioneer AVIC8000 to install in my MX5 in December, 2014. I logged onto the Navtec site to update the maps and the update was for the 4rth Quarter of 2013. When I tried to install it, it wouldn't install so I contacted the company. They responded that they would look into it. They finally got back to me with a fix in February which worked, but I'm not that thrilled with the newness of the update.

Re: NAVTEQ and Jeep = Frustration

Ok. Note to self. Never ever buy anything that has to do with Navteq.
And Crysler SHOULD do something about it. I mean supposedly there's a contract somewhere right?
How was that thing negotiated?
Crysler :"Ok we'll use you nav solution and pay you a shitload of money. We only have one question: how often do you release updates?"
Navteq : Every 10 years and only on a full moon.
Crysler: " Ok where do I sign?

That would probably leave you using paper maps

Yeah they're big and also owned by a company who thought it had it all and got slapped and gagged bad.
There's also Google Tomtom.

Greetings,

Did you try going thru the naviextras portal. Since Pioneer uses IGO Primo, HERE (formerly NAVTEQ) pays extra attention in updating that user base.

Yes, you are right that is not just a FCA problem, Garmin's smartphone app, the map update that uses the HERE took just over 10 months to come out. My Sygic smartphone app using TomTom maps had 3 updates in that time period. It varies between the on-line and off-line providers.

Best for now.

That's how I contacted their support staff.

Greetings,

Total amazing. HERE (Navteq) used to get these updates out quickly. Which is one of the reasons I know that IGO Primo went with Navteq back then. Now, since Apple went with TomTom, TomTom has been updating the maps on a regular basis since the launch and screwup of Apple Maps. Go figure.

Best for now.
