Need advice with bike carrier

I purchased a pin lock from Amazon, but it does not fit the Thule bike carrier's hole that I also purchased...

My question is, should I try to make the whole on the Thule carrier larger with a drill and what size is the standard size for the larger hole so I can buy the correct drill bit (don't think the ones I have will go thru metal)? I would like this option better instead of exchanging the pin lock because the larger whole in my aftermarket hitch receiver sits deeper than the smaller hole. Please note that I have no previous experience with this hitch stuff, all I know is the hitch receiver (2in) has two holes, and the Thule carrier is made for the smaller one.

Since this is going on my WK2, I figured I would ask here.

Thule sells their own hitch lock and manufacture their hole smaller to force you to buy their lock.

If you want to drill out the hole, buy a unibit.

Re: Need advice with bike carrier

Maybe a shop would drill it out for you for less.
