Yeah I haven't heard any horror stories about the 3.6...

Re: Need info on 2011 grand Cherokee purchase

If you're getting a 4x4, make sure you have the Selec Terrain dial which means you have a Low-range transfer case. This was standard with a Hemi-equipped WK2 in 2011 and was also available on the 3.6 Pentastar when it came with the Off Road option or if it was in an Overland. The huge difference between a Limited and Overland is that Quadralift suspension is standard on Overland and it has been a problematic item for some people. Limited has a fixed height suspension that IMHO will be more reliable long term.

I think that depends on your needs...

Actually, the Quadra-Drive (with ELSD) is now available in the Limited. To my suprise, I found one will searching inventories. It was a Limited with the Luxury package, Offroad Adventure package, as well as the 730 nav. MSRP was $45,430. I Found it at a different dealership from which I was was dealing with. When I called the salesman and told him what I found, he said that is not possible. He proceeded to look up the VIN and was shocked at my discovery.
I will start a thread regarding this as well, so people will be aware of this option.

Re: Need info on 2011 grand Cherokee purchase

Thank you all for the wealth of information I have received. I have narrowed it down to a used 2011 Limited or Laredo V8 with the selector knob. The wife wants leather and I see her point, but the final cost will be the deciding factor.

I am hoping to find a decent deal on a v8 with leather, so the shopping begins.

Again thank you all for the information.

Re: Need info on 2011 grand Cherokee purchase

In order to get the V8 you have to get the Laredo X which includes leather
