Need some help.
Ok, backstory, hang with me for a moment long post.
Ordered 2012 Overland (V-6, 4x4, with ACC pkg) from Exchange New Car Sales. Price agreed upon wasn't bad, but wasn't great (MSRP 45,107: Paying 41,107). And being deployed to Afghanistan didn't shop around a lot other than looking at some of the internet prices.
Now the fun begins.
They said they will honor any rebate increases up to the time of delivery. Which they receive military only rebates from Chrysler. So the rebate was 2k when ordered and is now 2.5k.
So I asked them to apply the extra 500. They said to do that the price would increase since one of the discounts their company had is no longer around. I stated that was the negotiated price and this was a very poor business practice. This is the second vehicle I have purchased through this program, this first being my 08 SRT8 which had rebates that no one could touch stateside. And didn't experience this same problem before.
Anyway, now I am peeved and want to get what ever I can from this company. They do price matching up to 14 days after delivery. This has to be a legitimate (and on their quote form of course or it isn't honored) quote from a dealer for same vehicle options and same delivery time frame.
So, do any of you know of any dealers in the Raleigh, NC area (or any that would be willing to do it by email) that would agree to a written quote so I can get 1 or 2K more from this company? Or even 5 dollars more just to make a point.
I redeploy next week and take delivery the first week of April so I have a couple weeks to work with, not to mention I am taking 30 days of leave and will devote as much time as I need to this little project. Just not sure how to convince some dealers to help me out in then endeavor. But if you have any suggestions send them my way. I am more than happy to drive 100+ miles to make my point to this company, don't screw with the Soldiers!
Thanks in advance!
