Re: New '14 Overland Owner

I'd storm back in there and get that $595 back. Jeep pays dealers to do the prep, so they basically stole from you. Love your JEEP and look forward to seeing it blacked out some.

Re: New '14 Overland Owner

To be frank, I see no reason for removing any badges or making something black that didn't come that way. But if that's your taste, why should anyone else care?

Re: New '14 Overland Owner

I've plasti dipped my door emblems, never notice them anymore. My favorite thing that I dipped was the chrome in between the tail and reverse lights. I haven't tinted my tails yet. Also dipped my window trim and side mirrors.

Lookin good.

Re: New '14 Overland Owner

Nice and congrats! I would go back and kidney punch the guy responsible for the front license plate bracket though.

Lol thanks. yea I wish they'd pass the Damn rear plate only in NY. Heard it was sent up but never got approved.

On another note blacked out door emblems today. And just found out the Laredo mirror covers can work on overland so maybe I'll chk at dealer for brilliant black caps

Re: New '14 Overland Owner

For the plate holders, Amazon has some nice black enamel metal Jeep ones, with optional black caps.

You seem to have the front plate license holder, where the plate fits in two slots at the bottom of that plastic holder. If you want to put most plate holders there [and they do look nice], you'll need to take a Dremel or similar tool--or a heavy duty knife and remove those corners just a bit to get the holder in there.
