new 14 Overland owner - any concerns?

Yesterday I picked up a 14 2wd Overland with the technology package, V6, and towing package. My initial observations from having previously owned an 11 and a 12 Laredo E GC is that the 14 does drive much smoother with the 8 speed tranny, and of course being an Overland, the nice factor is upped considerably. I have a few questions about it.

I think I've read something about issues with PCM programming for the early build V6's. Mine seems to drive fine to me - is there something I should be on the look out for? Carfax did not show any reprogramming and the factory warranty is almost up.

As a casual observation, I thought it would ride smoother than it does around town. It is very smooth, just thought it would be better. Seems about the same as my old Laredos from what I remember. Do the tow package shocks ride firmer? And am I the only one who may actually prefer the 18" wheels instead of the 20's that came on the Overland? I am inclined to think it may make for a slightly smoother ride with the 18s and the 20" wheels are not my favorite. Any thoughts or comments are appreciated.

Congrats on the new ride.
The Overland is a beauty.

You can find a lot about the history of your truck if you take the VIN to your dealership.

Recalls,service record etc.

Can you give a little more info on your rig.

Pics ,km etc?.

There is a TSB website that info on the PCM issue you are asking about I think.

Or maybe you mean TIPM!?.
That's on the TSB Site also.

Just curious is all.

My 20s are butter smooth and they are just about finished.

Get your vehicle's Jeep factory build sheet direct from Jeep online here (and it's free):

Jeep - Contact Us

If that link doesn't work, do this:

Jeep SUVs & Crossovers | Official Jeep Site | Jeep. Go to "Your Vehicle" on left, click "Equipment Listing", put in your VIN.

Presto!

Thanks for the info. I don't have any pics of mine, but it looks like any other Overland. Its the deep cherry red color with brown/beige interior. I liked my Laredos good enough, but this is definitely a step above.
