Maybe this was necessitated by the fact that they switched to LEDs and they would look funky in there without the softened edges?

To all that are worried about that black plastic piece below the headlights, this is all I have to say...

Get used to it because it isn't going anywhere.

Scott, these aren't mules.

The tailgate looking more vertical is an optical illusion. That would require a ground up redesign, and no Grand Cherokee has ever had one anyway.

I was trying to figure out where the side indicator lights would be in the new headlights.

Hopefully, they are were this "filler" is. It would be very strange to have such a filler below the headlights. The lights on the Test Mule also stick out very far - if you ask me, a bit too far for production - but I'm not a designer..

We were assuming that the fillers might make it into production because the members on the forum who are actually seeing these vehicles first hand noted that these "fillers" have been on every new MY14 Jeep they've seen so far.

Well, ok, I'll have to live with that.

Marlon, do you know by any chance where the headlamp washers of the SRT and Summit will be located?

Since the LEDs seem to stick out quite a bit, I'm wondering where and how they will be mounted because the spraying-angle will be a bit tricky..

Thing is...

You must remember...

These are technically no longer pilots. These that are pictured are production vehicles and may end up in you guys' hands someday.

I haven't paid any attention to the headlamp washers, sorry. They're so well integrated that I don't even notice them most of the time!

Thanks, Marlon.

Maybe you get a chance next time when stumbling over an SRT8 or Summit...

Oh yeah, the tailgate is new.

I told you guys this was the most major refresh the Grand Cherokee has ever had.

Can you "confirm" that the grille and the wings under the head lights is 1 piece like it looks in the pictures?

Hopefully it blends in well or I will have trouble convincing my wife when it's time to buy.
