I wonder if only the overland/limiteds get the LED DRL as these headlights are clearly differen than the earlier spy shots?

regarding the headlights...according to the specs released, only the limited, overland, and SRT will have LED DRL which tells us the early spy shots showing the standard lights will probably be standard like what's currently offered which will not help the smiley front. It also means the laredo pictured here is either not a laredo or mixed bag for testing only.

Thank you for doing this...it really helps to see them side by side.

Here's a shot of the current gen WK2 that at that angle at least looks more feminine than the refresh... in my opinion.
There is only one Grand Cherokee that in my humble opinion has a muscular masculine look:

But...I am obviously biased. I think the wk2 in general by far has the best offroad capability(stock) and is the best built and designed Jeep ever. I would happily own any of trim levels. I traded in a 11 Limited for the beast and we absolutely loved that vehicle. Can't wait for the oil burning 14 despite the changes.

I love the new look. Would I trade my 2011 Overland V8? Only for a diesel version.

The fact that the responses are so negative says the redo is a fail - at least from styling standpoint.
We heard this same thing about the 2011

Re: New 2014 Spy Pics on Autoblog

I think the rear actually looks much better now. I'll wait to pass judgement on the front till I see without that tape around the headlights. I like the idea, just wish they had intergrated the bumper with the headlight area like on the 11-13s. That space under the headlights looks terrible compared to the 11-13's without the space JMO

For instance look at the Compass picture abobve compared to the new GC. Why does the GC not have a one piece grill/bumper setup like the Compass. The GC seems to have a separate piece for the grill and lights planted in between the hood and bumper. Looks very unfinished and cheap. Poorly designed IMO.

Here's the Porche Cayenne rear...not much different. I guess the Itialians like their rear ends the same way.

I will ask this again as I stated this before. How are you getting that these look the same when we haven't even seen the full headlights or even head on?

Re: New 2014 Spy Pics on Autoblog

It does appear that the rear glass angle is more vertical along both the the Y and Z axis which should equate to a little more cargo space. If my calculations are correct based on my estimates that should give it an extra .92 cubic feet of cargo space.

Can Milous, Chevyboy, or Marlon confirm?
Thank you.

Re: New 2014 Spy Pics on Autoblog

Not digging all the extra black plastic on the bumper or the Durango looking rear. Hopefully seeing one in person will change my mind. Maybe a different color will change my mind.
