Interesting. Wasn't there earlier. I certainly see it now. Maybe I wasn't looking in the right place. Regardless, good to know.

Re: New: 2015 Grand Cherokee High Altitude Edition

What we need is one of those charts showing the features of the Summit, Overland, and High Altitude editions so folks can compare all of the features and options between them.

I wouldn't put much faith in that list right now, it also shows chrome tow hooks which aren't possible with a summit front bumper.

Like was said before, all brands do this. How exactly does this cheapen the SRT model? You guys that can afford a $70k SUV should be the only ones that get black HID headlights and black chrome trim? You don't see M3 owners and S4 owners complaining about Msport and S-line cars because they know their car has way more than just different bumpers and headlights. I got a great deal on a demo Summit and couldn't even come close to affording another 10-15 grand for a used '14 SRT. Of course I'd rather have the faster/sporty SRT, but $6-8k as you say is a hell of a lot when you're already paying over $50k.

I'd buy this HA model in a heartbeat. Hate that my Summit has so much damn chrome when body colored mirrors and door handles would look 100 times better. Sucks that Jeep is finally giving us options that dechrome and look good (California summit, now HA overland) but cost a bloody fortune.

Re: New: 2015 Grand Cherokee High Altitude Edition

If u have to ask you woildnt understand. If jeep puts parts from their halo model on cheaper models...then why buy the srt? Seem buyers see it like that. I could care less what bmw or merc does...has nothing to do with jeep or srt. Jeep is just trying to capitalize in the great sales of the srt...but imo it hurts the srt sales for a few ha sales.

BMW also puts M parts in their cheaper cars. Not sure how different that is from Jeep. I am very happy for this model because i won't and can't pay 70k for a SRT but would like something "better" than overland.

Except the HA Edition doesn't have many parts from the SRT. It has most of the new parts from the Summit line. So I can see Summit owners being a bit put off, but not SRT owners.

And the SRT still has LOTS different under the hood. But I'm more of a substance over appearance kind of guy, so that matters to me.

Re: New: 2015 Grand Cherokee High Altitude Edition

I see it as I don't hunk anyone should be upset. It's really it even close to an SRT as mentioned above, and regarding Summit owners being more upset than SRT owners....not really, the Summit is more luxury oriented and I can assure you there would be a LOT of Summit owners that wouldn't be caught dead driving something "murdered out".
It's just an appearance package that's somewhere between a Summit and Overland. I personally think it's cool that they offer this package from the factory. As a Summit owner I'm not the slightest upset, and if I owned an SRT I wouldn't care either.

The HA might look similar to a SRT, but it won't sound and drive the same, which is why people buy SRT's right??? It's why I covet them.

Not that I have seen yet with the exception of drawings on page 1 of this thread, or now on Jeep.com. No reals pics yet. Hopefully soon because assembly supposedly started on the 27th of July so you would think one is built by now.

All I see on Jeep.com is the Altitude. Where do you see the High Altitude?
