Because buyers that purchase more expensive vehicles are willing to pay more for options than buyers that purchase less expensive vehicles.

The more I see of it, the more I am thinking "Meh." It looks alright but I personally am also not liking the mismatch of black and black chrome as well. Different wheels would have been nice also to separate it a bit more from the Altitude. And for the life of me, I'm still baffled that the window trim is chrome

It's new and shiny but $55k is a steep price to pay for a 4x4 model. At that price point, I think I'd be more tempted to by a gently used/year old SRT or just save a bit more and put it towards a new SRT.

That's just my 2 cents though.

They need better decision making people. I mean, mix black chrome with bright chrome, oh and let's make all the badges and wheels black. I was expecting the black chrome to be darker, match the black accents better. If I get this I will be swapping the black chrome/bright chrome parts with black ones and what can't be swapped, I'll have it painted or wrapped. They were that close to getting it right. Maybe the 2016 one will be revised...

I like it although I think the interior wood trim should be glossy black, not dark brownish-burgandy in color. They need to fix that for 2016 High Altitudes. I'm not sure the "black chrome" is dark enough. It looks gray in the pictures.

$55k is steep for a 4x4 model? How so?? I believe the Overland and the Summit sell in volumes quite well.. This is, after all, a sporty Overland with a Summit body kit.

Also, $55k doesn't really get you a 'gently' used SRT. It gets you a performance vehicle with 20k+ miles that has been stomped on.

Not too in love with the rim choice or chrome window trim, otherwise I like it.

I don't get the mismatched comments? It's a summit exterior with a blackout package and the chrome is black chrome. I agree with the window trim but I don't really it takes that much away.

In my eyes, it just seems steep for a car that is a hybrid between the two models. For that price, I just feel that I would expect them to improve on some of the complaints/issues that the consumers have voiced with the aesthetics of the Altitudes that have been on the product line for a few years now.

I'm not saying I wouldn't drive one if you handed me the keys; It's still a sharp looking car. Just not one that I would personally drop $50k+ on at this time.

Re: New: 2015 Grand Cherokee High Altitude Edition

I personally think for that price jeep should of really stepped up their game... It should of had bolstered seats, a thick sporty steering wheel, better rims.. Why not 21"? Those rims that it has currently would look GREAT if they were 21" or 22" Seriously, just like the German Competitors offer. Also, they should of designed its own bumper, just like how the Audi S-Line vehicles get their own sport bumper, it's also the same with BMW.. Etc.. Not a shared bumper with Summit Also, the interior should have been offered with red leather stitching? Maybe white.. It looks very plain inside.. I mean, I like it, it's just nothing I would ever buy for those reasons.. But then again, I haven't seen it in person. I'm just ranting though..
