Cooled seats. A definite must.

The regular altitude comes standard with heated steering wheel and seats...

New: 2015 Grand Cherokee High Altitude Edition

I understand that the regular altitude is based on the Laredo, but it's closer to a limited or overland. People on here keep talkin it down...my altitude has 20" rims/dual exhaust/8.4" screen with full nav/rearview camera with parking sensors/heated seats/heated steering/sunroof/ambient lighting/push button start/keyless entry/body color wheel flares and bumpers
I've never seen a Laredo with all that
Just sayin

Yeah I'll admit, for the Altitude being based on the Laredo, it comes equipped very nicely. I would still never consider it because it doesn't have the air suspension, leather dash, cooled seats, and HID headlights. But that's all very very subjective and the Altitude is still very attractive. That's why I really like the HA. It's equipped how I'd prefer.

Maybe it'd make more sense if they just made it a 'Sport Package' for the Limited and the Summit. Instead of a loaded Laredo Altitude and a mix breed Overland/Summit High Altitude. Right, wouldn't that be just right?

Re: New: 2015 Grand Cherokee High Altitude Edition

Love the elitist put downs among other name calling. Honestly, I'd pay more for my Laredo than this new HA. That tacky black chrome makes my flat plastic trim look good.

Only my opinion though. You guys can waste your money and hot air all you'd like. This is a classic move of gilding the lily and it's funny how many people are biting.

*and I refuse to be a part of your storm trooper/ murdered out generation, guys. That's the dumbest shi* I've heard.

$10-12k in mods, yet doesn't have near the luxury features on the HA?

Uh, that's not a generation thing. I'm betting I'm around your age and I don't go around calling every white car a stormtrooper. And "murdered out" needs to be murdered itself.

Re: New: 2015 Grand Cherokee High Altitude Edition

The part that makes me laugh the most is the big complaints about the few black chrome pieces. Like they painted pink stripes on the truck. I prob would have still liked the truck if all those pieces were painted gloss black but I think the black chrome looks more classy, adds another dimension. Not everyone who is buying a 50k+ truck wants the "stormtroooer" look. The HA is for my wife. We cross shopped a lot of other brands and it's amazing The others didn't even have black rims, if you can believe it. blasphemy. I could have bought an altitude, that was my initial intention. This just fit better, if you can believe I spent 2k on rear DVD instead of 3k on a Hemi. I don't need nor want an SRT, I did want real leather, and a nicer interior for my wife. She could care less. I (my opinion) like the summit look much more then the altitude. This was a perfect package for me. And my 1 year old can watch Mickey in the back seats. Maybe some people are more emotional about there jeeps, it's just a daily suv for my family, not planning on winning any trophys. There are other cars for that.

What am I missing that the HA has??? Sorry but I don't think you have a clue what you are talking about. No one buys an altitude for off-roading there's no selectable transfer case (qtII)...

I didn't want air ride it's a shit feature and rides like garbage compared to springs... plus I have the option to permanently lower correctly which was important to me.

Cooled seats? Yea suede performance seats don't get hot so wtf would I need that for?

I have the RA4 and premium audio backup cam and sensors sunroof etc...

I don't need advance tech to drive a car for me, so what exactly am I missing out on luxury wise? I am coming from a e70 BMW X5 sport and e60 v10 BMW M5 and I don't see any luxury that I am missing. Even compared to my m sport 3 series coupe which I still have I don't feel the altitude is missing anything... So maybe you need to clarify what features you are talking about that are worth 12k?

^^Its understandable that the little things don't matter to you. You're not necessarily 'missing' anything. You still have a very nice rig.

The only thing that I can find is the quadri options, air suspension and the advanced tech . I have nav, back up camera, heated steering wheel, heated, front and rear seats, although I had the rears done for a whole $300.
I was out the door for 36K and get 20mpg, my company hasn't owned anything doing better than 10mpg in so long I cant tell you.
