Not all Alcantara is created equal bro.

It IS faux suede.

" It can be described as an artificial substitute for suede leather."

Better stick to mullets and TA's.

Never said I wanted an SRT. I have no need for one.
What I said was the SRT was the only other Grand Cherokee model id consider besides a Laredo.
It's the only upgrade that makes sense to me, but you wouldn't know anything about making sense.

Just give up bro. Alcantara is a BRAND not a type. Real Alcantara is that $ much and more. The shit your seeing labeled as Alcantara is a knockoff.

Just like Kleenex but others manufacture a similar product correct?
Does that make the other products inferior to that distributed by Alcantara SpA? Not necessarily. Is the quality material in the Altitude as good as that in a Ferrari? Obviously not but it's also not a few 100k.

New: 2015 Grand Cherokee High Altitude Edition

I had alcantara suede inserts (door cards and seats) in my '02 B5 S4 and its nothing like whats in my Altitude. To me the jeep suede seems more durable and a lot less likely to pill.
Don't get me wrong, the Audi suede was gorgeous, but a total PITA to keep clean, especially silver.

I had them in a B8 A4 Avant and I was a huge fan. This is how they looked after 55k miles.

Re: New: 2015 Grand Cherokee High Altitude Edition

I found more pics of brilliant black HA. Looks really good in my opinion. I changed my opinion on a couple of minor things. I think the brown wood which has some black streaks in it looks good in this black interior, and I think the dark chrome pieces look good too.

Re: New: 2015 Grand Cherokee High Altitude Edition

I've been eating popcorn for a couple days now while following this thread.

Reminds of when the iPhone 6 came out and all of the iPhone 5 owners (who were stuck with their model) got all snobby about how their 5 was better than the 6.

"Bro my 5 is way better than that huge screen on the 6."

I'm just waiting for all of the Altitude owners to elevate their game to the HIGH Altitude in the next 18-24 months and then talk down to all of the then-current Altitude owners.

New: 2015 Grand Cherokee High Altitude Edition

^^ adds fuel to the already burning fire. Good job....

As an Altitude owner I think the HA fits for a vehicle at the next level like it sells for. Compliments the more equipped JGC's for those in that price point.

That dark chrome on the bumper might as well be regular chrome. Looks like shit. From some angles it looks identical to the chrome on a summit. Oh and those leather seats?? They honestly look like the same leather in the altitude, whats the deal with that?

Plus lifted on the air ride looks ridiculous lol so bad.

Is it just me or does it look like it's sitting up really high- does it still have the transport blocks? Weird. Otherwise, it's really nice but I'm still glad I went with the regular Altitude.
