Re: New: 2015 Grand Cherokee High Altitude Edition

It must be the pictures then, because i've never noticed it before. Atleast on the SRT's its black so it doesn't stick out and you can't tell. The summit/HA should have a black diffuser as well. On the overland/laredo it atleast looks like it's supposed to be there and built in. Just another difference I never noticed before. For something that is supposed to be classier / more refined jeep sure did take a lot of short cuts. That white stitching on center compartment is ridiculous how did they miss that? FCA/Jeep must be recruiting its design team from craigslist job classifieds ...

Your HA looks great. The center console with white stitching is a factory error. You can have the dealer order and replace it with one with black stitches for no charge. Is the wood inside black or dark brown?

Yeah this was my favorite non SRT on the forums. I think the owner traded up for an SRT now though. Tastefully done IMO. Painted roof rails was a nice touch on white.

Re: New: 2015 Grand Cherokee High Altitude Edition

That's really nice. I think Jeep did a pretty good job. Sure there are some improvements that could be made, but overall a pretty unique car that they got mostly right. If they did everything we wanted, what would happen to all those aftermarket companies? I think it stands out from most of the other trims, with the exception of the normal Altitude which to the layman they look similar. The black chrome I think was a way of making it appear more luxurious than just painting everything to match. Whether it looks better or not is a personal preference.

Re: New: 2015 Grand Cherokee High Altitude Edition

I just really like the Summit and High Altitude. They are both awesome. I went with another Overland, kinda wish I would have waited.

I too also dislike the giant exposed hitch on the Overlands but then I see them without tow pkg and it just looks goofy so I'm not really sure what they should've done there.

I think we should all appreciate the effort being made here with Jeep. The 2011-13 was a huge improvement and amazing ride. Buuuut look at what we have now. The Summit, instead of the Overland Summit, which was kinda lame. The HA. And the Altitude is a lot more common now and better looking.

Re: New: 2015 Grand Cherokee High Altitude Edition

Why does it not have a High Altitude badge? Not that I care but every other model has a badge. It still says 4x4 which is lame. I'd rather a cool little HA badge or nothing at all lol

I just looked at 5 HA on auto trader and they all have the white stitching on the center arm rest. My assumption still is that it should be black. Hopefully it is something that does get "fixed". I actually hope that they change the stitching on the inside to all white/silver instead of it being black for 2016.

Re: New: 2015 Grand Cherokee High Altitude Edition

The stitching is silver not white, the picture makes it look white. Would probably look better in black. All I can think is they were trying to match the silver on the center dash console.

I'll have to find out about the pedals, it slipped my mind during the purchase. There is a bag that has the license plate bracket, etc. and has pedals on the sheet, but no pedals inside. Someone must have took them out or they were never there.
