You can order a V6, V8 or 3.0 liter Ecodiesel version of the High Altitude.

I don't mind the white or silver stitching on the center arm rest of the HA (much). My Overland has the black interior with white stitching throughout and I'm fine with it.

But what I don't like about the HA is that all leather covered steering wheel.

The wood wheel is for sure nice, but with the HA I feel they were going with a sportier look/feel and most vehicles with that kind of theme would have an all leather wheel. It probably could have worked, but I is what it is. For what it's worth I saw a Summit steering wheel for sale in eBay for fairly cheap...problem solved, if the wood color matches that is :-)

Re: New: 2015 Grand Cherokee High Altitude Edition

It looks like the HA should have some sort of sport steering wheel. I'm not saying it should be the same as the SRT, but something at least...

Re: New: 2015 Grand Cherokee High Altitude Edition

I'm trying to decide between the HA and a Summit. I prefer the styling of the HA, but there are a few features on the Summit I'd like. I keep seeing conflicting info on the Jeep.com website and this website in regards to features.

Does the HA have a power lift gate? Also, on the Jeep website it appears you can't get a heated steering wheel. It also says no backup camera? Also says no select terrrain?

I'd be willing to give up the adaptive headlights for the HA, but not sure I want to give up other features on the Summit.

Re: New: 2015 Grand Cherokee High Altitude Edition

I just got back from my Jeep dealership and they had one HA in stock. I gotta say, it wasnt as bad as its being made out to be. It looks like a blacked out Summit on the exterior. The interior reminded me of the Limited models primarily because the seats dont have any monograming like the Overlands and the steering wheel is all leather.

Personally, I think it looked sharp but I wouldnt want one. Then again I dont want an altitude because thats not my style, doesnt mean its not a beautiful SUV. All in all, I think the HA is getting too hard of a time on here for no good reason. Sure some things could have been tweaked or changed, but as a whole its a great looking product. If you want the luxuries of the Overland/Summit while maintaining more of an aggressive look, this is the vehicle for you.

Re: New: 2015 Grand Cherokee High Altitude Edition

Interesting review. Especially the indication of the interior being played down to an almost Limited model. For a $50K vehicle that I see on the window sticker, I personally would be investing in a Summit or completely tricked out Overland.

Looks sporty but I still can't get over the drastic accent changes (chrome, black chrome, gloss black, etc...).

I wonder how much discount will the dealers give off that 50k sticker once the car is out for a year.
