Production starts in a couple weeks, should start to arrive to dealers during the first part of August.

Edit: Production launch moved up, now set for Monday July 13th.

Do you have any real pictures of the HA instead of computer drawings?

There is no where for the front towhooks to protrude from with the Summit bumper.

Offroad Adventure group includes 18" wheels, so doubt they would paint up black ones to go with the HA theme.

But you could get a HA and put on the skid plates and hooks (by butchering the bumper) yourself.

Oh and get a Trail Rated badge from Ebay!

Any terrain that warrants the need of tow hooks and skid plates is firstly going to destroy that Summit bumperage.

Re: New: 2015 Grand Cherokee High Altitude Edition

As per the updated first post, I'm glad to see the HK stereo is indeed still an available option even with the High Altitute package. Really like want I see so far. This just put the Grand Cherokee back on the top of the list for me.

Looking at this feature:

Chassis:

• Performance Shock Dampening for Sportier Ride

Tells me the Quardalift Air Suspension won't be available on this "Overland" version. Which means I'm happy with my Overland (that Does have it) and not too sorry this version didn't come out sooner.

And it's a huge price savings for Fiat-Chrysler by cutting out the air suspension. But they did add Advanced Technology Group and front park sensors and headlamp washers plus the special look.

I like this although I think I would like it more if it looked more like an Overland and less like a Summit. Love the interior!

edit: Think I'll be getting one of these as soon as available for 2016 Model Year. Very cool.

Re: New: 2015 Grand Cherokee High Altitude Edition

Damn. That thing is nice. So a yr after i was in the market the altitude or now in this case High Altitude has the hemi option and assuming everything else an overland does. Wow. That sux.

Well, lesson learned. In a few yrs from now, if i really like a vehicle i will definitely hold out if the features are not available at that given time until they eventually do add those features cause we all know THEY WILL HAPPEN.

In the meantime, i'm still very much enjoying my Overland. No complaints other than i wish uconnect did more and had more features, updates...etc.

Re: New: 2015 Grand Cherokee High Altitude Edition

ssgunner, you do not have all the Overland options available for this special edition. Only those listed in the first post of this thread. No ORA, for example.

ssgunner, it's always going to be like that.

Although I wanted a MY14 Trailhawk, two years later and still no sign of one.

Don't get me wrong the HA looks good. Summit bumpers on an Overland, who would've seen that coming?

Jeep probably had too many Summit bumpers and other bits that won't be used in the MY16. What better way to flog them off.

Re: New: 2015 Grand Cherokee High Altitude Edition

Doubt there is too many summit bumpers just sitting around - I presume Jeep operate on "just in time" from their suppliers.
