It has a heated steering wheel. The option's list on the Jeep website is inaccurate. Also says it doesn't have park sense F&R or select-trac but it does.

I've gotten a few compliments on it and seen people checking it out in the parking lot. It really does stand out in person, particularly when freshly washed.

Originally I was going to get a Summit with platinum but then I saw the HA announced and decided to wait as I prefer the blacked out look. Only wish the HA had the adaptive HID and maybe noise cancelling, but the car is pretty quiet already.

Other than the noticeable v8 grumble there is no aesthetic difference between the V8 and V6 models. Nothing on the car designates it as a V8 until you pop the hood. The extra power on tap is nice.

I am coming from a VW Touareg. Really impressed with the build quality of this car. If it weren't a Jeep, you'd never know it is an American car. Finally an American car without that cheap rent-a-car plastic and playschool buttons and knobs that defined junk American cars in the past. It feels solid as a rock and comparable if not exceeding the lux German and Jap stuff I've owned.

Good job, Jeep.

Lots of luck to you it sure is a beauty, can I ask why you gave up the Touareg any issues with it thxs

Re: New: 2015 Grand Cherokee High Altitude Edition

New to the site, just read through all 52 pages whew!!!! Wife and I were initially going to get a limited loaded out, then we went to another dealer and saw the ha package. Had no idea they were even making this. Now we are sold on a black on black. She loves it and the ride. The extra safety features sold it for me as she def isn't the "best" driver. We also have a 5 month old son. Price is same as a loaded limited as well with more features. Thanks for the updates and info guys.

I had a 2005 V8 Touareg. It was a nice ride. Very solid truck but it was full of German gremlins programmed to rear their head as soon as the warranty ran out. The car was uber expensive to repair and maintain. All the costs of the Porsche Cayenne with none of the benefits.

I don't know how reliable the newer versions are though. They look nice but fully optioned out to a similar level of an overland / summit pushes the price well into the 60s.

I had a 2008 (which we got rid of for the JGC), and I couldn't agree more. I loved the Touareg, but it wasn't worth the headache outside of warranty. We had an extended warranty, and ended up selling it with about six-months left. Was sad to see her go. Was happy to get the Jeep.

One reason we skipped the newest gen Touareg (T3) was because all the bells/whistles were pretty much eliminated. It had half the prowess it did before.

SORRY ALL FOR THE OFF TOPIC POST...Back to your regularly scheduled HA discussion.

Thanks for the link. That's a good look all around on the HA. But is that the grey tailight bezel like the '14 Altitude?

It's dark trivalent chrome. Same one found on the front lower bumper, fog lamp bezels, grille rings and rear lower fascia accent strip.

DAMN!

That White HA Edition sure does look NICE! I'm trying to think of anything I'd change on it & can't find anything obvious (maybe the chrome around the windows.. maybe). Sure glad these weren't around when I purchased by 2015 Overland! These would have made the decision a lot harder.
