Yeah they're adaptive. Pretty cool

I'm saying IMO the best thing about the SRT is the 6.4.....duh lol

I found that out last week. Hit the washer for the windshield and liquid shot up in front of the headlights. I guess it has headlight washers... I said.

Re: New: 2015 Grand Cherokee High Altitude Edition

If they make the headlights auto leveling, I don't understand why they don't add the adaptive feature is well

But I mean since the Overland already has the feature to 'load level' why couldn't they turn the other direction too? I always think that every time I start my Overland in the dark and see the headlights go up and down. Wish they went side to side lol I actually wish I would have went with the Summit. Now I'm torn because I really like the HA exterior but the interior seems a little bland.

Yeah I mean its a cool feature, but its one of those things that isn't like a must have. For example, the stock HID projector headlights have a bright and wide enough beam to where I have never once been in a turn and thought man I really wish that headlight would turn for me so I can see better in this turn. Cool to have? for sure, but if I was interested in an Overland that feature alone would not deter me from it.

Well said, definitely not a deal breaker. I've had adaptive lights in other high end vehicles yet other than thinking it was a "cool" feature, it never struck me as a must have option.

X2
I have them now, and didn't realize it until few months into ownership of the car, definitely not a deal breaker.

I honestly can't believe it's only offered in the $50k+ models in 2015. My 335i had adaptive headlights in '07.

My VW CC had adaptive headlights lol another thing is, the Overland is a $50k + model and it's not offered...

I'm not saying it's a deal breaker at all, obviously it's not because I've had a 2014 Overland and a 2015 and I didn't choose them because of money. I'm just saying, every time at night that I start it and see them go up and down, it makes me think "I wish they could go side to side too."

Re: New: 2015 Grand Cherokee High Altitude Edition

The HA strikes a nice balance between Overland and Summit. I initially was going to purchase a Summit with the California package, but I prefer the blacked out look. I'm allergic to chrome. I decided the adaptive headlights, sound cancelling, and headliner on the summit were not important enough to forgo the aesthetic of the HA.

While I would have preferred to keep these features in the HA, they aren't deal breakers. It isn't like choosing between HID and regular headlamps or air suspension vs regular suspension. Leather vs no leather. Sunroof vs no sunroof. It wasn't like choosing between say a regular Altitude and the Summit. In that case, the extra features would have over ridden the aesthetics.

The only thing I really didn't care for on the HA was the interior color. However, after I saw it in person, I felt the interior does look and feel luxurious enough. I really wanted a lighter color interior like a brown or even a very light grey. However, the black interior in the HA isn't really "black" it is more like a darker gray.
