Clearly there is enough information out there showing that QL has its fair share of issues and errors. Its just part of the added complexity of the system on top of FCA's poor testing/R&D/QA that we all know and love. Part of the value built into the cars thats all I'm getting at. I apologize if my opinion offended anyone.
"I don't even like Altitudes" - Drives one and spent a ton of money modding it

"SRT and other sporty SUVs are dumb" - spent a ton of money on lowering springs, big brakes and big, wide wheels to make his jeep more sporty

"Jeep R&D and quality sucks" - owns a jeep

It's the fact that you specifically contradict every opinion that you have that's annoying. Oh, and making blanket statements about vehicles and features you don't own. Like the air suspension, which is the nicest riding of any vehicle I've owned and has zero issues in 15k miles so far. 3

Re: New: 2015 Grand Cherokee High Altitude Edition

I am convinced this Skunk guy has it out for HA owners because he's bitter he's stuck with just an Altitude. Who cares?

Can a mod ban him from this thread or something? Let's get on with things before he refreshes his iPhone to post more hate.

Funny how his ID has the word "skunk" in it as his attitude stinks.

Re: New: 2015 Grand Cherokee High Altitude Edition

Can we just close this thread? The HA is out, we know all the details, and like 20 people have started new threads about their purchase of one. And we can all agree that this is the blacked out version that Jeep should have been selling in the first place, instead of barfing chrome on everything above the Laredo model.

Re: New: 2015 Grand Cherokee High Altitude Edition

You guys are funny...

I'm not bitter at all I think the summit looks bad (to put it lightly as to not offend you guys). The body style is so unrefined and just has too much going on trying too hard to look luxurious and fails. (Me coming from an e70 X5 M sport the jeep design is god awful)

Owning 3 grand cherokees back to back (ZJ, WJ, WK2) I know first hand R&D is sub par. oversight on little issues everywhere and some major issues that still aren't corrected 5 years into the WK2 model... Whats the excuse?

9 out of 10 people in real life would chose my shitty altitude over your stock boring overland/summit.

I mod all of my cars not because I care about performance but I like to make it "mine" and different then what comes out of the showroom floor. Thats that.. I could care less about stopping faster or handling better etc. This is a daily driver not a track car.

The only person with a blanket over their eyes is you thinking your trouble free ride means they all are that way and don't think FCA should try and improve upon an ok at best suspension system.

This has nothing to do with the HA. I would never even consider the HA because it uses the summit body style. Just my opinion why it bothers all of you so much is ridiculous but hate all you want I really don't care.

Re: New: 2015 Grand Cherokee High Altitude Edition

Skunkd, were not hating. We are hating how you hate. If you had such bad luck with past FCA product, why did you buy the current Altitude? If FCA R&D is subpar, why bite for a 3rd time?

However, nobody more than you has spewed vile negativity in this thread. From my perspective, it appears you have a serious axe to grind. Sure, your Altitude looks nice on the outside, it reminds me of a SRT. However, I want to enjoy the interior as much, if not more than the exterior, which I find the Altitude seriously lacking. There again, it's my opinion and I know others do not share the same opinion as I. Unlike yourself, who would rather cut somebody down for not seeing eye-to-eye, I just accept others might not share the same viewpoint as I and that is alright by me. Life is too short to beat a dead-horse.

I have no problem with people liking the overland and HA interiors / overall looks and packages available. Don't get things twisted. The interior on the altitude is missing some touches I never said it wasn't.

And I keep coming back to Jeep because I'm willing to deal with their BS and little issues because of the price. 7% below invoice on all of them puts them in a price point that can't be touched no matter how many warrenty issues pop up. Thats the reason why. For a daily driver and not your only vehicle they are tough to overlook because of the price out the door and features included. Everything about Grand Cherokees is a compromise to me. Price, tons of features, build quality, service centers, etc. Looking at the whole package it has its ups and downs but if you get lucky and have no issues you make out well with them.

You can see how excited I was about it in the early pages of this thread and once I saw pictures and saw it in person I knew it definitely was not a car I would ever consider purchasing based on exterior looks alone. The interior has nice touches over the altitude.

My two cents I never liked ordinary summits either so of course I'm not going to like the HA and that's a shame because in theory it should have been awesome.

here is some early on skunkd hate in this thread. for someone that doesn't like the HA, he sure likes to hang out in the HA thread and post about it.

Wow vivid good job proving that my opinion from the start of the thread to the end hasn't changed. And its just that, an OPINION.

I responded to someone having issues with their air suspension, just so happened to be in this thread. Why don't you go be productive and copy and paste posts from every thread 60 pages later you tool what is the purpose of your post?? I'm the idiot? Look at all you still crying about someone opinion.

Well your opinion sucks. And sales numbers prove that.
