Seriously considering as long as there's a Trail Rated Off Road Package with limited slip differential available for this gorgeous edition. Am I asking too much for dark wood steering as well to match? ?de0e?dc4d

Since its based off Overland you "should" b able to get Quadra-Drive ll (ELSD) with the 4x4 V8 or Diesel as you can on the regular Overland....unless they restrict the option for product marketing segmentation reasons...

Thank you, I know I've repeated this question in Milous' latest thread, it's quite possible it may be too soon for him to divulge everything or may not even know himself just yet. Yes I'm certain the ELSP will be included. I don't see any wood steering in the photo, which leads me to believe they're keeping it sportier and leaving certain features to the Overland, perhaps I'm incorrect on this one, but what I am hoping for the most is that it is available with the Trail Rated Off Road Package which of course includes the skid plates, tow hooks, etc. For me I'm on a die hard Jeep fanatic, and only like originals. Without that Trail Rated Badge, I feel like The Emperor's lost his New Clothes :) Thanks again for any insight Milous or anyone here in this thread may have for us.

There is no where for the front towhooks to protrude from with the Summit bumper.

Offroad Adventure group includes 18" wheels, so doubt they would paint up black ones to go with the HA theme.

But you could get a HA and put on the skid plates and hooks (by butchering the bumper) yourself.

Oh and get a Trail Rated badge from Ebay!

Any terrain that warrants the need of tow hooks and skid plates is firstly going to destroy that Summit bumperage.

Looking at this feature:

Chassis:

• Performance Shock Dampening for Sportier Ride

Tells me the Quardalift Air Suspension won't be available on this "Overland" version. Which means I'm happy with my Overland (that Does have it) and not too sorry this version didn't come out sooner.

And it's a huge price savings for Fiat-Chrysler by cutting out the air suspension. But they did add Advanced Technology Group and front park sensors and headlamp washers plus the special look.

I like this although I think I would like it more if it looked more like an Overland and less like a Summit. Love the interior!

edit: Think I'll be getting one of these as soon as available for 2016 Model Year. Very cool.

Damn. That thing is nice. So a yr after i was in the market the altitude or now in this case High Altitude has the hemi option and assuming everything else an overland does. Wow. That sux.

Well, lesson learned. In a few yrs from now, if i really like a vehicle i will definitely hold out if the features are not available at that given time until they eventually do add those features cause we all know THEY WILL HAPPEN.

In the meantime, i'm still very much enjoying my Overland. No complaints other than i wish uconnect did more and had more features, updates...etc.

ssgunner, you do not have all the Overland options available for this special edition. Only those listed in the first post of this thread. No ORA, for example.

ssgunner, it's always going to be like that.

Although I wanted a MY14 Trailhawk, two years later and still no sign of one.

Don't get me wrong the HA looks good. Summit bumpers on an Overland, who would've seen that coming?

Jeep probably had too many Summit bumpers and other bits that won't be used in the MY16. What better way to flog them off.

Doubt there is too many summit bumpers just sitting around - I presume Jeep operate on "just in time" from their suppliers.

There is always something to learn on Jeep Garage. I had to look up "derp". Now I know...

I did a survey of teenagers in my vicinity (2 of) and they didn't know either, so I don't feel so bad after all.

As you were.

^^^ they aren't, none of his bumper stuff means anything. It's just how they designed this High Altitude edition. I think it's going to look awesome with all the black chrome accents with the Summit bumpers.

Will the high altitude have towing and the air suspension?

I am assuming towing yes since its 4x4, but no air suspension.

My lease is up in couple months. Right now dealership has a 20 HA coming. Trying to decide to keep my 2014 v6 move to a 2015 v8 overland or a 2015 v6 overland HA. Both v8 and v6 HA would be close in payments if lease one of the two. Trying to decide which to get or keep my 14 and put lift and bigger tires on.

I have asked about this, but still no answer. One can hope that it does. It's a nice feature to have. The select terrain knob is in the picture Milous posted.

I am also hoping it comes with the towing package like all 4x4 overlands do.

But the HA will cost at least $7k more, can go up to $10k+ diff. Reg. Altitude may not be available for 2016. I got mine Altitude early July. I guess can always trade in next year.
