Just found these pictures on Autotrader! The HA looks great! A lot more pictures are starting to show up online..
Can someone please give that dealer some tyre shine! I can't stand gloss black rims with dusty / dull rubber.

They really screwed the pooch with the HA coulda really been nice but it's ugly and looks mix matched and halfassed

Yep have to agree. It looked good in theory. The computer generated images make a nice desktop background.

The more I see of it, the more I am thinking "Meh." It looks alright but I personally am also not liking the mismatch of black and black chrome as well. Different wheels would have been nice also to separate it a bit more from the Altitude. And for the life of me, I'm still baffled that the window trim is chrome :confused::confused:

It's new and shiny but $55k is a steep price to pay for a 4x4 model. At that price point, I think I'd be more tempted to by a gently used/year old SRT or just save a bit more and put it towards a new SRT.

That's just my 2 cents though. :D

It appears glossy black to me. Where are you seeing the duller brown wood?

They need better decision making people. I mean, mix black chrome with bright chrome, oh and let's make all the badges and wheels black. I was expecting the black chrome to be darker, match the black accents better. If I get this I will be swapping the black chrome/bright chrome parts with black ones and what can't be swapped, I'll have it painted or wrapped. They were that close to getting it right. Maybe the 2016 one will be revised...
Obviously it's your vehicle to do what you want, but I have seen some guys black out the chrome bumper trim pieces and IMO it does not look good, especially the rear bumper. I personally feel the black chrome is the perfect trade off between tacky, and too much chrome.

To the people that keep saying the High Altitude has "black chrome" that isn't the case. On page 1 Milous has it listed as "Dark Trivalent Chrome" for reference this is what it looks like under different lighting
All that term is is just fancy way of saying "black chrome". You can call it what you want, but black chrome, trivalent chrome...same thing. I personally love the look.

For whatever reason guys are all still bent out of shape on the chrome window trim. Same as the regular Altitude or the SRT and people seem to love those. If it bothers them that much have it painted or wrapped...or start your own car company and produce a car yourself lol. I can sort of see where people are complaining about the mix of gloss black, black chrome, and bright chrome, but either way I think it will look good. SRT does the same thing. Some have black badges with the black chrome Goliath or spider monkey wheels. People will warm up to this model ;-)

I personally think for that price jeep should of really stepped up their game... It should of had bolstered seats, a thick sporty steering wheel, better rims.. Why not 21"? Those rims that it has currently would look GREAT if they were 21" or 22" Seriously, just like the German Competitors offer. Also, they should of designed its own bumper, just like how the Audi S-Line vehicles get their own sport bumper, it's also the same with BMW.. Etc.. Not a shared bumper with Summit Also, the interior should have been offered with red leather stitching? Maybe white.. It looks very plain inside.. I mean, I like it, it's just nothing I would ever buy for those reasons.. But then again, I haven't seen it in person. I'm just ranting though..

So at least to me it seems that the chrome looks bright in certain angles of light while at night it will look much darker.

Lol at some of the comments. Doesn't the srt8 have chrome window trim? Why would this be different. The finish is "black chrome" whatever they want to call it, look at the pics on page 20. I think it's sporty yet still classy looking that way, I'm not seeing the mix match. Black paint on all that trim would look good, but cheeper looking. And the HA is only a few bucks more then the overland. I wouldn't expect a completely redesigned package at that price point.

Lol at some of the comments. Doesn't the srt8 have chrome window trim? Why would this be different.
Because every other piece of "metal" on the Jeep is finished in something other than plain chrome, aside from the lug nuts and roof rails. ????

And almost every SRT I've seen that was altered to have the black trim pieces, also included the painting or vinyl wrapping of said window trim to match.

A little color and finish continuity could have gone a long way.

I am not a metals or plating guy but I was curious about the "trivalent" and this is what I found. These guys are good sized OEM suppliers. No idea if they supply FCA but my point is "trivalent" is a greener chrome plating process apparently. FWIW, the bad hexavalent chromium was the stuff in the Erin Brockovich movie.

Lifted from:

http://www.masterfinishco.com/specialty-finishes-and-process/trivalent-chromium-technology/

Trivalent Chromium Technology
In most chrome plating baths the ions suspended in solution are hexavalent (Cr+6). Our new “green” trivalent chrome plating bath uses trivalent (Cr+3) ions for metal deposition. Hexavalent chromium is a known carcinogen which poses health risks to those who use this material in chrome plating. Hexavalent chrome also has environmental challenges that must be addressed by those who plate using this process.

New “green” trivalent chromium eliminates the health and environmental concerns associated with hexavalent chrome plating. In addition, trivalent chrome plating has better “throwing power”, allowing for more uniform deposit thicknesses on your product. Trivalent chrome does a better job of depositing metal in recessed areas and is less inclined to plate excessively thick deposits in high current density areas. Our new “green” trivalent chrome baths are setup to provide both bright “mirror” finishes and the new attractive dark color chromes.

If no one gets any good ones today I might be able to personally take some tomorrow. I might be taking my Summit in for its first complimentary oil change and if I do I will be going to one of the local Jeep dealers that has 19 HA's in stock. I will get you high quality pics tomorrow if I end up going.

Couldn't tell if this was a sarcastic comment or not lol. If not, you do know that the SRT, and the Altitude have the same window trim? It's no different. Just look at those models, the chrome window trim looks fine.

Ok, I went and saw a HA at the local dealership yesterday, here are my thoughts:

When the HA was first announced, I was aggravated. (because I had just ordered a '15 Altitude) I loved almost everything about the 14-15 Altitudes, especially when they got rid of the rose gold interior for the silver trim. I really wanted three things the Altitude didn't have though; the hemi, the hid headlights, and a 4wd system with a low range. The HA seemed to address all these issues. Then more details came out, including the fact it had the air suspension, something I didn't want.

Fast forward to yesterday, when I saw the HA in person. Any regrets about my Altitude are now gone. I am not a huge fan of the Summit bumpers, it has a good bit of standard equipment I wouldn't want, but the worst part is that new black chrome finish. I understand they had to do something about the chrome strips usually found on the Summit, but add yet another finish? It looks especially bad on the back of the GC, where go from black chrome on the bottom bumper, to the gloss black on the upper bumper surround, back to the black chrome on the tail lights. Oh yea, plus all the badges are gloss black. It just seems very piece meal. As an added bonus, that black chrome shows water spots more than any other trim time I have seen; it looked awful on the lot and it was just washed. (For comparison, none of the other GCs on the lot which were washed at the same time showed water spots on trim)

Overall, its not awful, but its not what I was originally hoping for; an Altitude I could get a hemi and better 4wd with. I will say though, seeing it parked next to my Altitude convinced me to switch to the black honeycomb upper grills....

Interesting, the HA doesn't have the (black)chrome strip on the side skirt like the Summit does.

It's a cool idea in theory, but I don't think they came out all that great. I'll have to agree with most of what tristar said above, at least about the looks of it. If I was buying one now, I'd just go with the Summit Cali/platinum edition or whatever it's called. I want body colored mirrors/door handles and brushed trim instead of chrome everywhere.

The HA def. looks more like a high-end Altitude. A cross between the SRT and Summit trim based off the Overland...hah. Just got a 2015 Altitude in July and am happy with it so far. Not sure if it's justified to pay $7k - $10k more for the HA. Maybe I'll wait till the end of 2016 to trade in for a HA if my payments are slightly similar.

God it looks so bad. Anyone spending that much money on that halfassed piece of work is just encouraging their horrible design decisions.

The more pictures I see of the HA the more I wanna puke in my mouth. It makes me so dizzy as to what the hell they were going for. Whatever it was its an epic fail.

Thanks for all the pics JT.

Billet and White def stand out from the other colors and look the best to me. Now that I have seen more picture of it, the HA looks pretty sharp.

Now I'm torn between upgrading to a platinum series Summit or the HA. The deciding factor will probably be the interior. I could always turn a Summit into a HA :D

I would take my altitude any day over one of those. Not feeling it at all.

Just my opinion.

Your Just not a fan of real leather I take it? The HA is a different league, it's not a laredo with black rims and badges. I think there trying to appeal to a different audience then the altitude buyers. The HA is sporty yet still classy. I just showed 5 people in my office the side by side pic and all 5 picked the HA knowing nothing about either. There is nothing better about the regular altitude except the price.

You guys have terrible taste. I'd hate to see your wives or husbands... Seriously. I have absolutely zero remorse about buying an altitude I wanted to love the HA but I honestly hate it. You can see how excited I was about it in the early pages of this thread and once I saw pictures and saw it in person I knew it definitely was not a car I would ever consider purchasing based on exterior looks alone. The interior has nice touches over the altitude.

My two cents I never liked ordinary summits either so of course I'm not going to like the HA and that's a shame because in theory it should have been awesome.

Wow vivid good job proving that my opinion from the start of the thread to the end hasn't changed. And its just that, an OPINION.

I responded to someone having issues with their air suspension, just so happened to be in this thread. Why don't you go be productive and copy and paste posts from every thread 60 pages later you tool what is the purpose of your post?? I'm the idiot? Look at all you still crying about someone opinion.
