New 2016 75th Anniversary Grand Question

I am a new owner of the 2016 75th Anniversary Edition, I upgrade from the 2016 Cherokee.. I had the factory towing package on my previous Cherokee and had everything setup and working. My new Jeep also has the factory tow package, and I am looking for what harness to use with my Tekonsha P3 on this new model. I see that the 3045-P is what is being recommended and also the 3014-P being recommended. Which harness is everyone using?? Thanks for the help gang....

You can ascertain the correct pre-terminated pigtail to use with the P3 at a site like etrailer dot com...

Re: New 2016 75th Anniversary Grand Question

Thanks Jim & Victor. I ordered the 3014-P like my other 2016 Cherokee was using. When I was looking at Etrailer I was seeing the 2 differnet models being shown for it, and that is where I was a little confused. I know on my other Cherokee you had to do a wire swap if you didn't get the 3014-P model. If the 3014-P works with no issues I will let you know.

Now I will need to get my WDH adjusted to fit the new Grand due to the height difference. Thanks again for help.

Well the 3014-P is not the correct part number. I am now ordering the 3045-P

Re: New 2016 75th Anniversary Grand Question

Um.... Have you checked your glove box? My brake control harness was in there on my last 3 Rams with tow package, and on this Jeep which was CPO. You may not have to buy one.

Re: New 2016 75th Anniversary Grand Question

Yep the pigtail is in the glove box, but I want both ends to have the connectors. Makes it easier when I remove the P3 controller when we arent towing. After I get the harness on Monday the next step is adjusting the WDH to properly fit the grand. It sits a lot higher then the previous Cherokee.

Re: New 2016 75th Anniversary Grand Question

Yeah, weight distributing hitches usually need to be configured for each vehicle they're put on, since no two models seem to be the same height. They're worth the money and effort though.
