New Guy

Hello All,

Just wanted to say hello. I am picking up an Overland tomorrow and I am thrilled! I have been lurking here for a while waiting for mine, and there is a ton of great information out there and I look forward to learning and contributing with you all. Some specs on mine: Charcoal Gray, Black interior, 730n, Hemi and thats it. I will be sure to post some pics tomorrow, but I did have one advance question that after searching I didnt seem to come across an answer for. Has anyone hardwired, or have a how to for hardwiring a valentine one into the sunroof console?

Thanks in advance!

Re: New Guy

I don't know if anybody's wired a Vee-One into the overhead console, but somebody did mount a radar detector off the rearview mirror. Some kind of funky mount system. IIRC, the thread was back in late Sept/early Oct.

Re: New Guy

Pretty much all I need is to know which is the 'hot' wire that is always on when the car is on. Hmm...time for more research. I think a how to is in order.

Re: New Guy

I have the 730n by chance I suppose since I picked up this Jeep off the lot. It is of course just the RER, NOT RHR updated version. I have had no problem paring and listening to my iPhone 4. It will not charge however from the included cord. The cord itself is way too thick!

On a better note, this is one amazing Jeep! I am still learning the interface as I am coming from a BMW which I thought was super intuitive and easy, but there is so much value I believe in this car compared to much more expensive vehicles.
