Maybe the unit I have is the better one. I still dont like that nav interface. Seems overly complicated or not as intuitive as the Garmin portables... but its there and Ill get used to it.

The major difference is the 430N uses the superior Garmin software, the 730N has dead reckoning and voice command (you can enter a new destination while driving by talking to it). There are differences in the cable harness but you can go from a 430N to a 730N if you really wanted to, but 730N to 430N is not practical.

The Overland Summit comes standard with a couple things that are optional on the Overland, like adaptive cruise control and the 730N. In 2011 you could get a saddle color dash only in the Summit, otherwise they are identical except for a bit of cosmetic difference, notably a chrome grill and fog light bezels.

There may have been some differences in early builds, but I think all Overland 4x4s included trailer tow packages from the factory as standard equipment. Its hard to find one without QL air suspension.
Yeah... I have the 730N.
It did glitch on me today... the phone button stopped responding. If it happens again Ill look into whether it can be warrantied or not.

So I gotta say... when you posted that price I thought you were nuts and not looking at 20" tires.
I found the 117 price on Tire Rack and my local Americas Tire will match it. They have those BFG Forteras listed for 255.
I still want Michelins but for the price of these BFGs its hard to justify.

Thanks for the post, it got me thinking and saved me a few $$.
Oh... and no, I wont mail my savings to you

Go to 18" wheels and can get the Michelins and a smoother ride.

Check which application software yours has... Mine was outdated and after updating fixed a bunch of my issues.
PS: Asking your dealer to update it won't happen, most are too lazy to do any of it and will lie about it, which happened to me twice. So I downloaded it myself.

Smoother ride perhaps, but definitely much less responsive on the street. Depending on your driving style, you may much less street riding satisfaction. But if you like sitting in a soft sofa without road feel, the 18s with air suspension may make you happier.

Re: New guy - 2011 Overland

Im sticking with the 20s for now. New tires go on Wed afternoon at a great price so even if they only go to 33k like the ones on it Ill be ok with it.

Im now looking into an extended service plan based on another thread I read yesterday (or was it today) on another Jeep forum. Way too much on this SUV to go wrong and the more I read the more I think its a good idea. Especially if I keep it as long as I did my Montero.

On the upside my finace and I took a road trip from Seattle to Portland and back yesterday. Avg MPG was 22.8.

I would go with Chrysler maxcare. If I knew about it when I got my OS I would have picked that.
