New Here...2013 WK2 3.6 issues

I like your site. Look forward to learning a lot.

2013 Laredo, 36,600 miles. Owned it for one month. Really love the car, love how it looks, love interior and all the features. V6 has enough power for me and has gotten good gas mileage so far. I have always owned 4.0 liter Jeeps, so this is all new to me.

Despite all of this, I cannot deny I have not been happy with the WA580's performance. No rough shifting really, certainly no clunks. But what I would describe as inconsistent performance. Occasional gear hunting, lagging, surging, etc. Just not what I hoped for. When I get to accelerate on highway from a stop and get up to highway speed, it feels good to me. But under all other driving, low speeds, starts and stops, it does not feel like I want it to.

I have read many similar stories with this transmission and even some with the 2014 8 speed. But are there any success stories out there? Have any TSBs been applied by dealers that helped? I hope so. Even wondered about disconnecting battery to see if that would help. I plan on visiting the dealer first thing Saturday morning. They checked their records in computer and do not show any TSBs ever having been applied via flash.

Advice/tips? Thank you.

Check wk2jeeps.com and see if there are any TSB's on the 5 speed. I have also heard alot of people stating the same thing about the transmission hunting (1 big reason I didn't buy a 2012-13 model).
