A gutter washer, or short pressure washer wand extension with a nice bend can flush the big hunks off the underbody, suspension, etc. Works much better than the touchless washes, even the ones with the brief spritz of underbody, and definitely much better than ruining your knees crawling down with the typical do it yourself spray wash.

Your vehicle looks pretty much like mine on any given weekend, except the sand mix used on most Colorado mountain two lanes tends to match the cherry red exterior better--until it dries to salt. The mag chloride does have a pretty good light red tinge though.

I underwash after every weekend so it doesn't end up looking like a "Ward Special" [for those of you familiar with the town it is hard to drive thru without humming Dueling Banjos]

Re: New Jeep Color!

Its gunna be a little over 50 in NJ on Saturday and i will be getting mine "repainted" too. Still trying to find a good hand-washing shop too, so, if anyone in northern NJ 07039 knows of any, shout me out.

Make sure this topic stays alive, so you can claim royalty credits if this shows up as a future Jeep Bonneville model...

Re: New Jeep Color!

The place I use really had the water pressure turned up today...the place was cranking! Probably the best wash I've gotten there in a long time. That "stuff" didn't have a chance to stay on my Jeep...

Re: New Jeep Color!

I feel your pain! Got both the cars washed today...along with everybody else in Maryland LOL. It literally took all day, at least an hour per car waiting in line...then I came home and QD'd them and broke out the carpet cleaner to get the salt out of the floor mats and such. I would have just washed them myself but its so muddy around my driveway I didn't want to make it worse.

They always feel SO clean after they've been that dirty though!

Re: New Jeep Color!

My Jeep is all clean. Salt, dirt and grime is all gone. I used Optimum No-Rinse with microfiber cloths at home in the garage, then went to the Touchless Car Wash, then brought it home to the garage and sprayed the entire Jeep with Perfect Detail and wiped clean and dry with microfiber cloths.

Went to the Spray n Wash today... Of course I bring my own bucket of goodies with me the fill in the details, but one thing that's new is a blow dryer...A hose with a flat nozzle on the end that blows warm air at a pretty good rate! And they have a new pay system where you can start and stop it at will...So I could apply foam soap, wash it with my mits using my bucket of clean water for rinsing, and rinse and final soft water rinse before blow drying. Nice setup!

Looks good. But, imho, a detailing job is never done unless it has some tire shine on it. Me, I apply with a paint brush to remove the excess, but regardless, nothing looks better than a clean BLACK car..

This wasn't detailed...it was just s trip to the spray & wash. BeIieve it or not, this GC is Blackforest Green. It looks black unless the light is shining on it a certain way
