Hello All,

I recently bought a 2015 JGC Altitude in black. Only mods as of now are 20% tint on the front windows to match and I'm waiting on all weather mats. I've owned a few Subarus and one Evo. I live in PA so I need something that's good in the snow.

I have a few questions.

1. Do you guys run snow tires for the winter or are the all seasons it came with pretty good.

2. I want the H.I.D headlights and the L.E.D fogs. Where can I find the harnesses and are people having good results? I want them to work flawlessly.

Hi. Welcome. Search the forum as there is much (too much!) discussion on your 2 questions. You'll learn much here.

I'm in northwest Indiana we get a pretty good winter here, had a couple of storms that shut down the county.

Up to about 10" of snow the stock tires were ok, not great but ok.

I do plan to put a set of F1's on the goliaths I picked up and a dedicated set of winters on the stock altitude wheels.

Re: New member

Greetings and welcome.

For lighting, any major online jeep parts store has the lighting you are looking for. Google any one of these: Summit Racing, Auto Everything, Just 4 jeeps and 4wd just to name a few. All of the customer service people are excellent. I have aftermarket HID on mine with a HI-output blast (forgot the name) need to run with the internal HI-speed CanBus of the JGC. You should not have a problem.

With regards to tires, as member AAAA indicated prior, search the main WK2 Suspension/Brakes/Tires.... Thread for a great deal of commentary, suggestions and other goodies. By late August, early September, the treads start to come alive. In any event, by November or a couple of weeks before snow season hits you should have your tires on. This way the initial tire layer breaks in for the traction to start. Usually today, any where from 50 to 250 depending on the manufacture.

Good brands to search for is Nokian, Nitto, Cooper, GY, Bridgestone and some others. You will find in the treads other suggestions of tires to look for. Have fun.

Best for now.

Welcome to the family! I have duelers on mine and have performed flawlessly in the snow. Admittedly I dumped the oem tires bc of the feedback from the people on here bf the first snow, so I have nothing to compare them to, but I couldn't be happier.

Great in dry weather, rain and snow... A little more road noise than stock, but nothing to write home about.
