New Member: Leasing Advice

Hi All,

I am in the process of negotiating a lease on a 2015 Overland V6 4x4 with Off road adventure II package and Harman Kardon 19 Speaker system.

I'm currently driving a 2014 Lexus IS F-Sport which unfortunately has had its fair share of problems, ending with a rock cracking my windshield leaving the jeep dealership yesterday. The low ride height and low profile tires have made the car a nightmare to drive in NY winters and its time to change to a more practical vehicle.

Right now i have 2 final deals and i'm waiting till monday to place a deposit on a special order, which i was told will be the last batch of '15's ordered until the 2016's comes out. MSRP on the vehicle is $48,780.

36months 10k Miles-$3602+plates due at signing, $463 a month
36months 10k Miles-$3400+plates due at signing, $448 a month (w/o speakers)

How do these deals look? I'm new to the Jeep market and could use any help i could get before pulling the trigger on monday.

Thanks!

Just to make sure you're aware of this...

Ordering the Off Road Adventure II package with the V6 does not get you Quadra Drive II or the electronic limited slip rear differential. Those are only part of ORAII when you order the hemi or diesel engine.

Get the speakers. The non-HK are not very good. My front speakers have a fake sounding base like loudness is on but no way to adjust loudness.

Re: New Member: Leasing Advice

I got the stand v6 Laredo $32,000 starting on a lease for,

48months 12k Miles-$900+includes plates, $399 a month.

I was originally looking at used 2011 WK2's but they wanted $23,000+ for 50,000 of somebody else's miles. That's a 4 year old Jeep.

At the end of the lease when it is a 4 year old Jeep the option to buy it is $16,000.

Basically you could lease it for four years. Buy it for $7,000 less then what people want for used. Drive it for 1 more year. Trade it in for the next jeep.

And it got me out of my somehow nearly upside down pos Ford Fusion and back into a jeep.

I just picked up my overland yesterday if your about the music Wow the speakers are worth the money. I came out of a ten year old car and could not believe how amazing it sounded. As for lease I financed and only 550 a month.

I realized that, while that might be beneficial i didnt want to spend the extra money on the diesel or hemi because the V6 had a good amount of power. I was primarily looking at the package for the 18in wheels with on/off road tires and the added skid plates.

I was blown away by the HK speakers, definitely seemed worth the $795. My biggest regret with the Lexus IS was not getting their upgraded speaker system (Mark Levinson) when i purchased the car. Their base speakers while still alright did a lot of strange things to simulate bass and surround sound.

Sounds like you got a good deal on the Laredo, leasing is definitely the way to go.

My current car is financing and i'm try my best not to get burned for a lot of money. I have 8 weeks to do a private sale while the order is being placed, which shouldn't be difficult but its just a headache that i don't want to deal with.

What did you put as a down payment to get to a payment of 550?

My Lexus IS is financed and i had to put down 10k to get a payment of 595 a month. But that car had an MSRP ~44,000.

Also today i realized that when you try to select the HK speakers on the jeep website it only gives you the option of beige interior. Do you know if thats the case, because i was looking to get black.

I just checked that and you're right. Can't figure out why an interior color would affect selecting that option. Best bet is to have the dealer confirm if that's true... it wouldn't be the first time the Jeep site build configurator was screwed up.

Well, if that's what the dealer wants to do, it's going to mean they are not going to have any JGCs to sell for a period of time. MY16 do not go into production until November/December of this year...MY16 is a late introduction. Me thinks they are trying to pressure you into buying "now"... Dealers will be placing orders for MY15 vehicles until something like September/October.
