Well went to dealer yesterday for test drive. Took out a V6 overland really wanted to test the V8 but did not have a V8 demo available. No biggie as it was snowing anyway. Was very impressed with fit and finish of interior. I was very comfortable in the driver seat. The heated wheel is very nice but the seats are a little disappointing heat wise. As the heat is only in the center of seat so the bolsters are freezing. Not a big issue though. Overall driving impression was very satisfying. As it is very quiet in the cabin no outside noise. A very solid vehicle which handles very nice. The ride is very very smooth and I hit a few potholes just soaked them right up. The V6 was not so bad but still going with the V8. It was the trans I did not care for upshifts way to quick for my liking. It was in seventh by like 40mph. Was not able to give it a good go though due to the snow. Overall immpression of the GC very very good me likey. So good in fact I decided to place an order for an Overland. I wrote everything up and left a deposit. I just need to decide what color and call dealer to process my order.

The dealership experience was great to there was none of the usual BS you have to put up with before you get down to the bottom line. The saleswoman I dealt with was very open and honest she came right out with the invoice and asked what I wanted to pay for the GC. I gave her a figure and off she went to the manager with it. 5 mins later they both come back with printouts in hand. Now I'am thinking ok here comes the we can't possibly sell you this GC for this price speech. But to my surprise the manager sits down and says I ran the numbers and I can give it to you for 45.00 more than your figure.
I say write it up. The manager sat there and thoroughly explained all the figures on the printouts as to my leasing options. Either through chrysler or or an IDL Independant Dealer lease. He even stated that he will honor my incentives reguardless of what they are upon delivery but if they change for the better he will apply them also. I cannot lose. Needless to say I was overwhelmed at the treatment. Everything upfront no cloak and dagger act. They even gave me copies of the printouts which no dealer ever does for fear of using it as ammo at another dealer. So very pleased with the deal I got. Now just have to decide what color
my saleswoman is on vacation for one week so I have a few days to decide.
