New Overland & Summit Ed- bordering on LIVID

I just go off the phone with the Jeep info line rep
Contact Us by Telephone
1-877-426-5337
(877-IAM-JEEP)
M-F 8:00 AM - 8:00 PM ET
SAT 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM ET

to ask about details for the Overland and Overland Summit regarding differences. The rep told me that they , at least at this time, have PULLED the Saddle Interior from the Limited and Overland and it will be available ONLY on the Overland Summit!
Additionally, the colors originally stated for the Overland Summit have morphed to: Rugged Brown, Mineral Grey, White Gold, and Black. (What happened to STONE WHITE??)

I have been waiting for the Saddle Interior to be released for months so I could order, and now they switch horses! You too can register your dissatisfaction at the above number The rep was very nice and helpful- and agreed that it was a bad move. He said some early builds may have gotten out the door before Saddle was pulled, but it is not available now.
I am very disappointed.

Re: New Overland & Summit Ed- bordering on LIVID

I just phoned them and got the usual run around, I need to speak to my dealer because they will have the information... I told the lady that was crazy, how could my dealer have any more info than she does? I cut her off before she could attempt to insult my intelligence any further... Basically we're screwed...

I now have a very, very POed wife. She was counting on the Overland in red with saddle. Now, it seems that you can get red without saddle or saddle without red.

eww red with saddle. Theres been talk on other threads that there is a problem with the supplier and thats why theres the saddle shortage. Saddle was never available on Limiteds anyway and it will be available again on Overlands soon enough. You all are like 5 year olds on christmas morning, no patience.

Re: New Overland & Summit Ed- bordering on LIVID

My auburn-haired wife has a thing about red. I see red cars as ticket magnets, but after 35 years of marriage I know when to hold and when to fold.

The mentioned in another thread implies that saddle is especially for the Summit. If this is just a holdup for some weeks/months, no big deal, but it would be disappointing if it were permanent.

Re: New Overland & Summit Ed- bordering on LIVID

I show the Saddle interior for non-Summit Overland models as on restriction, but NOT discontinued. This is due to the high volume of orders for the Summit edition.

Ok, but what about us that have orders in before the summit was announced?
I'm upset that because I put in an order and in the 7 weeks between then and now it is just still a number...

I believe they should be building customer orders first, then worrying about filling the car lots...

I respect your spending ALOT off money and ontop of your lots of money, you got on a waiting list instead of spending less and driving one off the lot. All that to say I respect your frustration and understand your feelings.

furthermore, if chrysler is being flooded with orders for saddle interior OBVIOUSLY its something out of their control to put off selling 40k+ dollar cars because of an interior color.

furthermore red, and saddle... I hope she is not choosing colors painting the house

I hear you! She hasn't yet seen that red/saddle combo up front and personal, and she normally has good taste in colors (house is white w/dark green shutters and doors, BTW). So, who knows, but whatever she wants she'll get 'cuz she feeds me like a king and puts up with my cigar after dinner.

I completely would understand if they were being flooded with orders, and I'm sure they are, but they should be taking those orders in the order they were received... Like I said my order was in before they announced the summit, so putting my order on hold to build those just pi$$es me off!

And my wife also picked out red with saddle... Not very popular here in the states, but very common in Europe.

And I'm sorry to come off as an ass here.. but after owning at least 8 Chrysler products in the last 10 years (including Jeeps, Durangos, and a Viper) I find this to be unacceptable customer service.
